이 알은 비단처럼 매우 가벼운 털로 감싸여 있습니다.

가늘고 가벼운 털이 알 전체를 감싸고 있어, 마치 옷을 입고 있는 듯한 모습을 하고 있습니다.

알의 중앙에는 눈동자를 닮은 무늬가 있으며, 어느 방향에서 바라보더라도 서로 눈이 마주친 듯한 기분이 듭니다.

이 알에게 여러 이야기를 들려주면 부화가 조금씩 빨라진다고 합니다. 특히 무서운 이야기나 말장난이 담긴 이야기는 부화를 더욱 앞당기는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.

부화가 시작되면 바람 한 점 없는데도 털이 천천히 흔들리기 시작하며, 알 주변에는 마치 수상한 혼령과도 같은 빛이 나타난다고 전해집니다.

Egg

This egg is covered in an exceptionally light coat of silken fur.

The egg is wrapped in long, delicate strands of fur so light that it appears to be wearing flowing garments.

At its center is an eye-like marking. No matter where one stands, it always seems as though the egg is looking directly back.

Speaking to the egg is said to hasten its hatching. Frightening tales and stories filled with clever wordplay appear to be especially effective.

When the egg finally hatches, the silken fur begins to sway despite the absence of any wind. At the same time, eerie lights resembling wandering spirits are said to gather around it.

Hatch

Hides beneath the shade of trees, quietly observing its surroundings.

A newly hatched Haku spends much of its time watching everything around it.

It is born with brilliant white fur and remarkably large forelimbs.

Although Haku resembles a ghost, this impression comes only from its long, flowing fur and unusual appearance. Its body is entirely physical.

The fur covering its body is extraordinarily light, shifting gracefully with even the faintest breeze.

Its oversized forelimbs are rather heavy for such a small Eastern dragon-like body, causing it to let them hang limply in front of itself most of the time.

Whenever it discovers something that captures its curiosity, it tends to remain there, silently observing.

If you notice a faint light shining beneath a tree and hear quiet laughter drifting through the air, there is a chance a young Haku is watching you nearby.

ハッチ

해츨링이 된 하쿠는 누군가를 놀라게 하거나 두려움에 떨게 만드는 순간이 가장 즐겁다는 것을 깨닫습니다.

길게 늘어진 털과 커다란 앞발. 자신의 몸이 가진 특징마저도 공포를 연출하기 위한 소재로 활용합니다.

해츨링이 되면 털을 자유롭게 조종할 수 있게 됩니다. 거미나 지네처럼 벽에 달라붙거나, 박쥐처럼 거꾸로 매달리거나, 아무도 없을 곳에서 말을 걸거나, 갑자기 어깨에 손을 얹어 상대를 놀라게 하기도 합니다.

수없이 사람들을 놀라게 하고 두려움에 빠뜨리면서, 하쿠는 가장 완벽한 공포가 무엇인지 배워 갑니다. 그리고 누군가를 공포로 물들일 때마다 새로운 괴담을 만들어 낼 영감을 얻게 됩니다.

Hatchling

Begins devising ways to create fear with its own hands.

As Haku grows into a Hatchling, it discovers that nothing brings it greater joy than seeing someone startled or frightened.

Its long, flowing fur and oversized forelimbs become tools with which it carefully stages fear, turning even its own appearance into part of the performance.

At this stage, Haku gains the ability to manipulate its fur freely. It clings to walls like a spider or a centipede, hangs upside down like a bat, calls out from places where no one should be, or suddenly rests a hand upon someone's shoulder.

With every scream it draws forth, Haku learns what makes fear truly unforgettable. Each successful Kaidan it creates becomes inspiration for the next, refining its craft with every frightened soul it encounters.

ハッチリング

自分で恐怖を作り出すため、作戦を立てます。

ハッチリングのハクは、誰かが驚いたり怖がった時が一番楽しいと気が付きました。

細長い毛、大きな手。自分の体の特徴でさえ材料にして恐怖を演出します。

ハッチリングになると毛を操ることができるようになります。蜘蛛やムカデのように壁に張り付いたり、蝙蝠のように逆さにぶら下がったり、誰もいないはずの場所で声をかけたり、突然肩に手を置いて驚かせます。何度も何度も驚かせ、怖がらせることで最高の恐怖を学び成長し、誰かを恐怖で染めるたびにインスピレーションを得ます。

 

어덜트 (Adult)

'괴담'을 만들어 내는, 유령을 닮은 괴담 드래곤입니다.

어덜트가 된 하쿠는 실제로 일어난 사건을 관찰하고, 그것을 바탕으로 새로운 괴담을 만들어 내는 데 뛰어난 재능을 보입니다.

하쿠가 만들어 내는 괴담은 미련이 남은 혼령의 복수나 누군가를 돕기 위한 이야기가 아닙니다. 오직 하쿠가 생각하는 '최고의 공포의 근원' 을 만들어 내기 위해 존재합니다.

하쿠에게 괴담과 소문은 상대를 놀라게 하기 위한 규칙입니다. 그리고 그 규칙을 지켜 나가는 것 자체를 아름답다고 여깁니다.

누군가의 다툼, 우연히 그렇게 보였던 환영. 그런 소문 하나하나가 하쿠를 더욱 강하게 만들며, 털과 몸은 점점 더 무거워집니다.

어덜트가 된 하쿠는 더 이상 아무 대상이나 선택하지 않습니다. 때로는 자신을 목격한 상대를 일부러 놓아주어, 그 경험이 새로운 소문으로 퍼져 나가도록 하기도 합니다.

Adult

A ghost-like Kaidan Dragon that weaves terrifying ghost stories into reality.

As Haku reaches adulthood, it becomes exceptionally skilled at observing real events and transforming them into Kaidan.

These stories are never born from lingering spirits seeking revenge, nor are they created to save or help others. Instead, every Kaidan exists solely to give shape to what Haku believes is the purest source of fear.

To Haku, both Kaidan and rumors are sacred rules by which fear should be created. It believes there is beauty in preserving these traditions.

Rumors born from quarrels, fleeting illusions, or simple misunderstandings all nourish Haku. As such stories spread, its fur grows heavier, and so does its body.

Unlike its younger self, an adult Haku no longer chooses its victims at random. On occasion, it will deliberately spare someone who has seen it, allowing the rumor to live on instead.

「怪談」を作り出す幽霊のような怪談ドラゴンだ。

アダルトになったハクは実際の出来事を観察し、それを元に「怪談」を作り出すのが得意です。

その怪談は、決して未練のある魂の仕返しや人助けのためなどではなく、ハクにとっての「最高の恐怖の根源」を生み出すためのものです。 

「怪談」と「噂」はハクの驚かすルールであり、このルールを守ることが美しいと考えています。

誰かの喧嘩、偶然そう見えた幻覚。そんな噂がハクをより強くし、毛や体が重くなります。

アダルトになると無作為に対象を選ぶのではなく、敢えて自分を見た相手を見逃すことがあります。

스토리

「착각」이라는 틈

유령인 줄 알았더니, 그저 빨랫감이었다.

나무 아래에 유령이 있는 줄 알았더니, 그저 버드나무였다.

“흐흐흐... 과연 정말 그럴까?”

그렇게 웃으며 버드나무로 변장한 채 먹잇감을 기다리는 드래곤이 있었습니다.

하쿠.

하쿠는 인간의 그런 ‘착각’ 에서 태어났습니다.

‘혹시 그럴지도 모른다.’

‘그렇게 보였기 때문에 무서웠다.’

그 공포 야말로 하쿠를 이루는 것이었습니다.

그런데 그것이 단순한 착각이었다고 여겨지는 순간, 하쿠는 마치 자신의 존재 자체가 부정당한 듯한 기분이 들었습니다.

한때 분명 두려워했던 것이, ‘착각’이라는 이유로 어느새 안심 이 되어 버린 것입니다.

어쩌면 이렇게 잔인할 수 있을까요.

하지만 하쿠는 바로 그 지점을 틈 이라고 생각했습니다.

“이 ‘안심’이야말로 가장 무서운 것을 만들어 낼 거야.”

“사람들이 안심에 익숙해진 지금이야말로... 최고의 기회겠지?”

하쿠는 곧바로 좋은 이야깃거리를 찾아 나섰습니다.

“음... 이걸 이렇게 하고...”

“흐흐흐...”

비 오는 날, 길을 걷고 있던 사람의 눈앞에 버드나무 한 그루가 덩그러니 서 있었습니다.

‘이런 곳에 원래 버드나무가 있었나?’ 하고 잠시 생각했지만, 비가 너무 거세게 내리고 있었기에 잠시 그 나무 아래에서 비가 그치기를 기다리기로 했습니다.

습기 때문일까.

버드나무 아래는 이상할 정도로 따뜻했습니다.

버드나무 잎이 볼에 부드럽게 달라붙었습니다.

‘비가 오니까 어쩔 수 없지.’

그렇게 생각한 바로 그 순간—

버드나무 잎을 손으로 만지는 순간, 이상함을 깨달았습니다.

너무나 가늘었습니다.

그리고 너무나 부드러웠습니다.

마치 사람의 머리카락처럼.

버드나무라고 생각했던 것은,

사실 정체를 알 수 없는 털이었습니다.

기분 나쁜 털은 살아 있는 것처럼 팔을 휘감으며 놓아주지 않았습니다.

두려웠습니다.

힘껏 잡아당겨도, 이번에는 잡아당기던 손마저 휘감아 버렸습니다.

그때였습니다.

누군가가 어깨에 손을 올렸습니다.

그쪽으로 시선이 향한 것은 아주 잠깐뿐.

그 짧은 순간,

털은 다리까지 휘감고 말았습니다.

"저기..."

"왜... 나를 버린 거야...?"

훌쩍이는 여자의 목소리였습니다.

금방이라도 쓰러질 것처럼 힘없는 목소리.

하지만 어깨 위의 손만큼은 조금도 떼어 낼 수 없었습니다.

그 손은 사람의 손이라고는 믿기 어려웠습니다.

설마... 그 아이인가...?

"용서할 수 없어..."

"당신도... 함께 데려갈 거야...!"

"으아아아악!!"

"미안해!! 잘못했어!! 제발 살려줘!!"

털에 온몸이 휘감긴 남자는 울면서 계속 사과했습니다.

하쿠는 그 비명을 충분히 즐긴 뒤, 남자를 조용히 풀어 주었습니다.

남자는 비명을 지르며 허둥지둥 도망쳐 갔고,

그 모습을 끝까지 바라보던 하쿠는

빙긋 미소 지었습니다.

"그런데..."

"계속 보고 있었지?"

"아..."

"난 네 복수를 도와준 게 아니야."

"그래도... 꽤 만족한 모양이네?"

"흐흐흐..."

"어때?"

"내가 만든 괴담..."

"정말 최고였지?"

Story

The Weakness Called “False Relief”

You thought it was a ghost, but it was only laundry.

You thought there was a ghost beneath the tree, but it was only a willow.

“Heh... heh-heh... Are you really so sure about that?”

There was once a dragon who laughed like that while disguising itself as a willow tree, waiting patiently for prey.

Haku.

Haku was born from those very human mistakes of perception.

“Maybe it was this.” “Maybe I only imagined it.”

Fear born from uncertainty—that was what gave Haku its form.

And when that fear was dismissed as a mere misunderstanding, it felt as though Haku itself had been denied.

Something that had once inspired terror suddenly became a source of relief.

What a terrible thing.

Yet Haku saw an opportunity in that very moment.

“That feeling of relief... I think it gives birth to the most terrifying things.”

“And now that people have grown used to feeling safe... this is the perfect chance, isn’t it?”

Without delay, Haku began searching for a story worth telling.

“Hmm... if I do this...”

“Heh... heh-heh...”

One rainy day, a lone willow tree stood by the roadside.

For a moment, someone wondered whether a willow tree had always been growing in such a place. But the rain was falling far too heavily, so they decided to wait beneath it for a little while.

Perhaps because of the damp air, the space beneath the willow felt strangely warm.

Its leaves clung softly to their cheek.

“It’s just because it’s raining,” they thought.

And then—

Reaching up to touch one of the willow's leaves, they suddenly froze.

It was far too fine...

Far too smooth...

Like strands of human hair.

What they had mistaken for a willow was not a tree at all.

It was fur.

The eerie strands wrapped themselves around their arm as though they had a will of their own, refusing to let go.

Panic set in.

They pulled with all their strength, only for the fur to coil around the hand that tried to tear it away.

Then—

A hand rested gently upon their shoulder.

Their attention shifted for only a single heartbeat.

That was all it took.

The fur coiled around their legs.

"Excuse me..."

"Why... did you abandon me...?"

A woman's voice.

Soft.

Broken by quiet sobs.

It sounded so fragile, as though she might collapse at any moment.

Yet the hand upon the shoulder would not move.

It did not feel like the hand of any human.

Could it be... her...?

"I can't forgive you..."

"You'll come with me... too...!"

"AAAAAAAH!!"

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!! Please forgive me!!"

Entangled within the pale fur, the man broke down in tears, apologizing over and over again.

Satisfied by the scream she had drawn from him, Haku loosened its grasp and quietly let him go.

As the man stumbled away in panic, shouting and crashing through the rain,

Haku smiled.
 

"Oh..."

"You've been watching all along, haven't you?"

"I wasn't helping you get your revenge."

"Though... you do seem rather satisfied."

A quiet chuckle escaped.

"Heh... heh-heh..."

"Well?"

"What do you think of the Kaidan I created?"

"It turned out wonderfully... don't you think?"

ストーリー

「見間違い」という隙

幽霊だと思ったら、ただの洗濯物だった。

木の下に幽霊がいると思ったら、ただの柳の木だった。

「しししっ……果たして、それはどうだろうね？」

そう笑い、柳の木に扮して獲物を待つドラゴンがいました。

ハク。

ハクは、そんな人間の「見間違い」から生まれました。

こうかもしれない、そう見えたから怖かった。

この「恐怖」こそ、自分を形作るもの。

それを「見間違い」にされることは、そうでなくても自分を否定されるような気分でした。

一度は恐怖したものなのに、「見間違い」により「安心」をしてしまった…

なんてことだ！

しかし、ハクはそこが「隙」だと感じました。

「この「安心」こそ、一番恐ろしいものを生むだろうね。」

「安心に慣れている今が……一番の好機だよね？」

早速、ハクはいい物語がないか探し始めました。

「うーん…これをこうして…」

「しししっ……」

雨の日に外を歩いていると、そこにはポツンと柳の木が生えていました。

 こんなところに柳の木は生えていたのだろうかと考えたが、それよりも雨がひどかったので、この柳の木の下で少しだけ、雨が止むのを待つことにした。

湿り気のせいだろうか、柳の木の下は暖かく…

柳の葉が自分の頬にぴったりとくっついていた。

「雨だから仕方ない」と考えていた、その時…

柳の葉に触れて、気が付いた。

まるで髪の毛のように細く、滑らかだった。

柳だと思っていたものは、なにかの毛だった。

その不気味な毛が、自分の腕を絡め取るように絡みついて、離そうとしなかった。

恐ろしかった。

力強く引っ張っても、引っ張ろうとした手に絡みついてしまった。

何者かに肩に手を置かれた。

そっちに気が逸れた、一瞬だった。

足に毛が絡みついてしまった。

「ねえ、あなた…」

「どうして、私を捨てたの…？」

すすり泣く、女の声が。

弱そうで倒れてしまいそうな声なのに、肩の手は振りほどけない。

その手は、人間のものとは思えなかった。

まさか…あの子が…？

「許せない…貴方も…連れて行ってあげる…！」

「うわああぁぁ！！！！」

「悪かった！！悪かった！！！！」

毛に絡みついた男は、泣きながら謝り始めました。

ハクは悲鳴に満足して、男を解放しました。

ドタバタ音を立てて叫び声をあげた男を見送って、にっこり笑いました。

「ところで…ずーっと見ていた君は…ああ。」

「別に君の復讐を手伝った訳じゃない。でも、満足しているようだね？」

「どう？ボクの作った「怪談」…最高だったでしょ？」

이제 점점 더워지는 계절이네요.

더위를 식혀 줄 것이라고 하면 역시 괴담이 아닐까요?

무언가를 계속 의식하고 있으면, 사실은 아무것도 아니더라도 그렇게 보이기 마련입니다. 하쿠는 그런 인간의 심리를 누구보다도 잘 이해하고 있습니다.

하쿠의 모티브는 일본에서 전해지는 이미지입니다. 바람에 흔들리는 버드나무의 긴 가지 끝이, 마치 발 없는 흰옷의 여인처럼 보인다는 이야기 말입니다. 사실은 버드나무일 뿐인데도 사람들은 어느새 유령을 떠올리게 됩니다.

하지만 하쿠는 그런 착각에서 태어난 드래곤입니다. 유령이 아니라, 착각에서 시작된 공포를 괴담으로 만들어 내는 존재이기 때문에 실제 다리가 있고, 손으로 물건을 붙잡을 수도 있습니다.

하쿠는 여러분이 가진 '착각이라서 안심했다' 는 마음을 조금씩 무너뜨리며, 그 자리를 새로운 괴담으로 채워 나갈 것입니다.

장마가 지나고 본격적인 여름이 찾아오고 있습니다.

This is my seventh dragon, and I'm happy to say I managed to finish it in time once again!

As the weather grows hotter, what better way is there to cool off than with a good Kaidan?

When something lingers in your mind, even ordinary things can begin to look unsettling. Haku understands that feeling better than anyone.

Haku was inspired by a classic Japanese image: from afar, the long, swaying branches of a willow tree can resemble a woman in white with no visible feet. Although it is only a willow tree, our imagination turns it into a ghost.

However, Haku is a dragon born from those very mistaken perceptions. Rather than being the ghost itself, Haku creates Kaidan from the fear born of those misunderstandings. That is why Haku has real legs and can physically grasp objects.

The name Haku comes from the Japanese kanji 「白」, meaning "white."

Since Haku is a Kaidan Dragon, its appearance may also remind you of a candle.

In Japanese folklore, there is a famous tradition known as the One Hundred Ghost Stories. As each ghost story is told, a candle is extinguished. Legend says that when the final flame goes out...

...something may appear.

There is also a Japanese wordplay involving the kanji 「白」: if you remove the single horizontal stroke (一) from the character 「百」 ("one hundred"), the remaining shape becomes 「白」 ("white").

Finally, this dragon was created specifically for Dragon Village.

As long as the original design by me (Kanone / かのね / 카노네) can still be recognized, I am happy for the game's developers to make adjustments if necessary.

今回で7匹目のドラゴン…今回も間に合いました！！

これから暑くなりますが涼しくなれるものと言えば…怖い話「怪談」です。

何かを意識していると本当は違うとしても意識してしまうものです。ハクはそれをよく理解しています。

ハクは、柳のゆらゆらと揺れる長い枝の先に、足のない白装束の女性が佇むという「本当は柳なのに、幽霊に見える」というものをモチーフにしていますが…しかし。

幽霊の見間違いから生まれた怪談を作るドラゴンなので、足があり、物を掴むことができます。

あなたたちの現実を。「見間違いという安心」を少しずつ怪談で壊していくでしょう。

梅雨もあって、これから暑くなります。暑いので、ハクの怪談を実体験してみませんか？

まあ、それが貴方ではないとは誰も言ってないですよ…？

ハクという名前は白装束の「白」という漢字です。

怪談のドラゴンということで、蝋燭にも見えてきます。

蝋燭に関連した話があり…その話では100個の怪談話を終わらせ、蝋燭を吹き消すと…？

そして、百から漢字の「一」を引いたら「白」になるという話もあるんですよ。
