페인트통처럼 생긴 알이다.

알에 있는 뚜껑은 열기가 거의 불가능하다. 

연다해도, 통 안에 있는 페인트가 순식간에 굳어서 페인트곤이 쉽게 죽는다.

부화가 아니라 페인트통 안에서 해치 상태로 헤엄쳐 나온다.

페인트곤의 알의 물감은 예술가들이 애용하는 재료들중하나다.

해치 획득시: 해치때부터 그림을 즐겨 그린다.

해치 설명:

해치때의 페인트곤은 대부분의 시간을 그림그리는 데 쓴다.

머리에는 어렸을때의 페인트통을 추억삼아 쓰고 다닌다.

발톱에 있는 팔레트와 꼬리 끝에 있는 붓의 솔로 그림을 그린다. 

누군가가 그림을 그리고 있으면 페인트곤이 따라와 구경한다. 

가끔씩 자신의 그림을 가져와 어떠냐고 물어보는데, 좋다고 대답해주면 그 대상을 졸졸 따라다니면서 곤란하게 만든다.

해츨링 획득시: 진화한 해츨링은 더욱 색다른 방법으로 그림을 그릴려고 한다.

해츨링 설명: 해치때와는 달리 다양한 방법으로 그림을 그린다. 

발에다가 물감을 뭍혀 종이에 찍거나, 몸을 물감으로 칠하고는 구르기, 또는 입에 물감을 머금고 뱉는등, 여러방법을 시도한다. 

해츨링때의 페인트곤은 한눈만 팔면 집이 물감으로 도배되어있으니 조심하자.

성체가 되서도 그림에 대한 갈망은 끊이지 않는다.

자신의 그림 실력이 초라하다고 생각하여, 그림 연습을 과도하게 하는 페인트곤을 종종 볼 수 있다.

진정한 그림을 그리는 방법을 찾고 있다. 그래서 페인트곤 근처에는 항상 찢어진 캔버스들이 수북히 쌓여있으며, 캔버스의 흔적을 따라가보면 그림을 엄청나게 빠른 속도로 그리는 페인트곤을 볼 수 있다.

그림을 더 잘 그리고 싶어!

“이게 아니야!!”

페인트곤은 자신의 그림을 발톱으로 찢어 뒤로 던졌다. 몇번을 연습해도 자신의 그림실력은 초라하다고 생각했다.

캔버스 거치대에 새로운 캔버스를 올리면서 탄식을 내쉬었다. 

“나는 언제쯤 그림을 잘 그리게 될까?”

모두가 부러워하는 그림, 그런 그림을 그리고 싶어했다.

날이 지날수록, 페인트곤 근처에는 찢어진 캔버스들이 쌓여갔다.

어느날, 여느때처럼 그림을 그리고 있는 페인트곤. 한 테이머가 찾아왔다.

“굉장해! 어떻게 이런 그림을 그릴 수 있지?”

페인트곤은 붓질을 멈추고 테이머를 바라보았다.

“....정말?”

“응! 너무 멋져!”

“난 부족하다고 생각하는데..”

“아니야, 넌 충분히 잘 그려!”

페인트곤의 얼굴의 미소가 번졌다.

테이머가 가고, 페인트곤은 다시 한번 생각해보았다.

“진정한 그림은 실력으로 그리는게 아닌 것 같아. 진정한 그림은 마음으로 그리는거야.”

I Want to Draw Better!

“This isn’t it!!” 

Paintgon tore his drawing with his claws and threw it behind him. 

No matter how many times he practiced, he thought his drawing skills were pathetic.

He sighed as he placed a new canvas on the easel. 

“When will I be able to draw well?” 

He wanted to draw pictures that everyone admired. 

As days went by, torn canvases piled up around Paintgon.

One day, as Paintgon was drawing as usual, a tamer came by. 

“Amazing! How can you draw like this?” 

Paintgon stopped his brush strokes and looked at the tamer. 

“…Really?” 

“Yes! It’s so cool!” 

“I think I’m lacking…” 

“No, you’re drawing well enough!” 

A smile spread across Paintgon’s face.

After the tamer left, Paintgon thought again. “I don’t think true drawing is about skill. True drawing is about drawing with your heart.”
