주로 솜사탕 가게에서 솜사탕 흉내를 내고 있던 코튼래빗은

어느날 솜사탕을 잔뜩 사가는 손님을 보게 된다.

손님의 기대가득한 눈빛을 본 코튼래빗은 몸을 웅크리고 손님의 솜사탕에 섞여들어갔다.

“깜짝이야!”

웅크리던 몸을 쭉 펴고 손님을 놀래킨 코튼래빗은

자신을 보며 점점 미소를 짓는 손님을 바라보았다.

어릴 적 부모님의 손을 잡고 달달한 솜사탕을 사먹던 기억이 떠오른 손님은

솜사탕을 한 조각 뜯어먹으며 행복한 표정을 지었다.

행복한 기억에서 빠져나왔을 때 쯤 손님은 코튼래빗을 찾으려고 했지만,

코튼래빗은 마치 자신의 일을 다 한 것 마냥 온데간데 없이 사라져있었다.
