This egg looks like a big piece of fruit, shiny and delicious. But it's advisable to avoid opening and eating it, since anyone that tries will discover that the shell of the egg is full of hard scales that will break even the sharpest of blades!

이 달걀은 마치 커다란 과일 조각처럼 생겼고, 빛나고 맛있습니다. 그러나 계란 껍질을 열어서 먹는 것은 피하는 것이 좋습니다. 계란 껍질에는 가장 날카로운 칼날도 부러뜨릴 수 있는 단단한 비늘이 가득 들어 있다는 것을 알게 될 것이기 때문입니다!

The little innocent hatch opens its eyes and discovers the colorful world. Because it's very naïve, Pitahaya might get itself in trouble. That's why its body is covered in a lot of big sturdy scales, making Pitahaya look like a walking pile of leaves. Children love to play with Pitahaya's hatches.

작고 순진한 해치가 눈을 뜨고 다채로운 세계를 발견합니다. 너무 순진하기 때문에 피타하야가 문제에 빠질 수도 있습니다. 연약한 몸을 보호하기 위해 크고 튼튼한 비늘이 많이 덮여 있어 피타하야가 마치 걸어다니는 나뭇잎 더미처럼 보입니다. 아이들은 피타하야의 해치를 가지고 노는 것을 좋아합니다.

The hatchling has learned to be more observant. The cheerful personality is still there, but Pitahaya is now more mature and knows that the world can be dangerous. If Pitahaya senses a threat, it will turn its claws and scales towards the enemy, trying to scare them away. If it doesn't succeed, Pitahaya will then flee, since in reality Pitahaya is not good at fighting. 
Little flowers are starting to bloom at the end of its tail, giving off a really sweet fragance that soothes the mind. Its abdomen is very soft, but it's also Pitahaya's weak spot.

부화한 새끼는 좀 더 관찰력이 뛰어난 법을 배웠습니다. 쾌활한 성격은 여전하지만, 피타하야는 이제 좀 더 성숙해졌고 세상이 위험할 수 있다는 것을 알고 있습니다. 피타하야는 위협을 감지하면 발톱과 비늘을 적을 향해 돌려 겁을 주려고 합니다. 성공하지 못하면 피타하야는 도망칠 것입니다. 실제로 피타하야는 싸움을 잘하지 못하기 때문입니다.

꼬리 끝에 작은 꽃이 피어나기 시작하는데, 정말 달콤한 향기가 마음을 편안하게 해준다. 복부는 매우 부드럽지만 피타하야의 약점이기도 하다.

When Pitahaya dragons started appearing in Yukatan, humans discovered that the fruits at the end of their tails had magical properties. Anyone that ate Pitahaya's fruit would be stronger and faster for a period of time. It was also believed that eating it would bring good fortune. Because of this, hunters would start going after Pitahaya, wanting the delicious magical fruit for themselves. Pitahaya felt sadness and anger, and hid in the forest away from humans, because its body was not good for fighting against humanity's weapons. 
But Pitahaya's good nature earned the admiration of the humans, who decided to respect and care for the Fruit Dragon after it became the protector of their children. That's why no human is allowed to hunt for Pitahaya dragons, to ensure their wellbeing.

피타하야 용이 유카탄에 나타나기 시작했을 때, 인간은 꼬리 끝에 있는 열매에 마법의 특성이 있다는 것을 발견했습니다. 피타하야의 열매를 먹은 사람은 일정 기간 동안 더 강해지고 빨라질 것입니다. 그것을 먹으면 행운이 찾아온다고 믿었습니다. 이 때문에 사냥꾼들은 맛있는 마법의 과일을 얻기 위해 피타하야를 쫓기 시작했습니다. 피타하야는 슬픔과 분노를 느껴 인간의 무기와 싸우기에 몸이 좋지 않았기 때문에 인간과 멀리 떨어진 숲에 숨었습니다.
그러나 피타하야의 좋은 성격은 인간들의 존경을 얻었고, 인간들은 후르츠 드래곤이 아이들의 보호자가 된 후에 그것을 존경하고 돌보기로 결정했습니다.그렇기 때문에 피타하야의 안녕을 보장하기 위해 어떤 인간도 피타하야 용을 사냥하는 것이 허용되지 않습니다.

STORY / 스토리

Pitahaya is a dragon that used to be wary of humans. Afraid that they will steal its magic fruit, Pitahaya hid from them. Because of this, a lot of people thought its existence was just a children's fairytale.

Parents told their children colorful stories about the Fruit Dragon. Kids would love these stories and would start to eat more fruit and become healthy. These little humans would venture into the forest, searching for their beloved Pitahaya. Even though they could never find it, they kept searching.

One day, one of the children was careless and fell down a cliff. The little girl had strained her ankle and she couldn't move well. Alone and scared, she started to cry.
Suddenly, she smelled something delicious! She stopped crying and looked up. There it was, the Fruit Dragon, Pitahaya!

The dragon helped the girl to return with her friends. The kids thanked the dragon politely, and Pitahaya understood humans weren't as bad as it thought.
From then on, Pitahaya can be seen playing with children in the forest, sharing its magical fruit with them and watching over them closely.

피타하야는 원래 인간을 경계하던 용입니다. 그들이 마법의 열매를 훔칠까 두려워 피타하야는 그들에게서 숨었습니다. 이 때문에 많은 사람들은 그 존재가 단지 어린이 동화일 뿐이라고 생각했다.

부모들은 아이들에게 과일용에 관한 다채로운 이야기를 들려주었습니다. 아이들은 이 이야기를 좋아하고 더 많은 과일을 먹고 건강해질 것입니다. 이 작은 인간들은 사랑하는 피타하야를 찾아 숲 속으로 모험을 떠났습니다. 그들은 그것을 찾을 수 없었음에도 불구하고 계속해서 찾았습니다.

어느 날, 아이들 중 한 명이 부주의하여 절벽 아래로 떨어졌습니다. 그 어린 소녀는 발목을 다쳐서 잘 움직일 수 없었습니다. 혼자이고 무서워서 그녀는 울기 시작했습니다.
갑자기 맛있는 냄새가 나더라구요! 그녀는 울음을 그치고 위를 올려다보았다. 거기에, 후르츠 드래곤, 피타하야가 있었다!

용은 소녀가 친구들과 함께 돌아올 수 있도록 도왔습니다. 아이들은 정중하게 용에게 감사를 표했고, 피타하야는 인간이 생각만큼 나쁘지는 않다는 것을 이해했습니다.
그때부터 피타하야는 숲 속에서 아이들과 놀고, 마법의 열매를 나눠주고, 가까이에서 지켜보는 모습을 볼 수 있다.
