Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming in the January update for MLB RIVALS!

■ January Update Highlights

- The following key updates are scheduled for January:

* Detailed information on new content and updates will be announced separately on the update day.

* The details listed below are subject to change depending on development progress and testing.

1. Signature Black Position Expansion (OF)

- Signature Black Cards will be added for Signature players whose positions are LF, CF, and RF.

- Players whose primary position is DH and whose secondary position is CF, RF, or LF will also be eligible for Signature Black Cards.

* Multi-position players can only be recruited as Signature Black Cards once Signature Black recruitment has been unlocked for both applicable positions.

2. Signature Black Card Position Buff

- A new Position Buff effect will be introduced for Signature Black Cards when they are placed in the lineup.

- The value of the Position Buff scales with the card’s Upgrade level.

> Example: When a Signature Black Card reaches Upgrade Lv. 10, it gains OVR +2 from Upgrade and OVR +5 from the Black Position Buff, resulting in a total of OVR +7.

- The Position Buff is applied only when the player is assigned to the same position indicated on the card.

- While the maximum total stat value granted by the Position Buff is the same across positions, the distribution of individual stats may vary depending on the position.

3. New Moment Cards

- New Moment Cards will be added.

- Further details regarding these cards will be shared in a separate update notice.

4. Locker Room Pitching Leader System

- A new Pitching Leader system will be added to the Locker Room.

- Pitching Leader is a system separate from the existing Clubhouse Leader. Once the Clubhouse Leader reaches a certain level, the Pitching Leader system will unlock.

- After unlocking, you may designate a player from your lineup as the Pitching Leader.

- The designated player’s stats will be boosted as the Pitching Leader’s level increases.

- The Pitching Leader’s level cannot exceed the Clubhouse Leader level.

- Pitching Leader levels can be increased by consuming player cards and items as materials.

- Only Preferred Team Special Cards (including FA) in your lineup that have reached certain Training and Upgrade thresholds may be selected as the Pitching Leader.

5. Locker Room Effect System

- A new Locker Room Level System will be introduced, allowing you to grant additional stats to players in your lineup.

- Locker Room Points can be earned by crafting Emotes.

- Accumulating these points will increase your Locker Room Level.

- Earned points can be spent to apply stat bonuses to players in the lineup.

- Locker Room Effects apply only in the following modes: League Mode, Ranked Battle, Ranked Tournament, Live Match, Club Battle, Event Game, and Potential Game. (Effects do not apply in Ranked Slugger, RBI Battle, or Rival Series.)

- Locker Room Point acquisition and usage are managed separately for each Preferred Team.

6. Special Workshop Addition

- A new Special Workshop will be added, allowing you to craft high-grade items.

- The Special Workshop can be unlocked once certain conditions are met.

- A new feature will allow you to select and use multiple crafting materials at once.

7. Senior Mission Expansion

- Senior Mission STEP 8 will be added.

- Completing all missions in STEP 8 will grant a Team Selective Triple Signature Pack.

■ UX Improvements & Others

- Position-specific Transcendence Potentials will be added for Signature Black Cards.

> Dedicated Transcendence Potentials for LF, CF, and RF positions will be introduced.

- New material types usable in the Workshop will be added.

> Both Material Cards and Player Cards can now be used as crafting materials.

- The Synergy UI will be streamlined.

> All Synergy Effects will now be visible on a single page.

- The Player Upgrade Event UI will be improved.

> An ON/OFF toggle will be added, allowing you to check the current Upgrade Level of players directly from the event screen.

- When viewing card pack components, a search filter will be added to the player list.

- The automatic registration of Training materials will be improved.

- The Skill Change system will be refined.

> If an unlocked S-grade Skill is present when attempting a Skill Change, a warning pop-up will be displayed.

- The early-game progression flow will be improved to provide a smoother onboarding experience.

- New no-doubt home run animations will be added for the following players:

■ Main Events in January

- The following key events are scheduled for January

* The details listed below are subject to change depending on development progress and testing.

1. Position Training Event

- A Position Training Event will be held, offering Position Training Level Effect and Skill rerolls.

> Complete daily missions to earn chances to draw Training Plans.

> Collecting all types of Training Plans will advance your Position Training stages.

> Each stage grants Position Training Level Bonus Effects, including stat boosts, Skill Level increases, and the ability to register Main Materials.
