Hatch Stage

Most people think these younglings are lazy, but in actuality, these hatches ares naturally born with low-energy, which means they are often tired and moody. At this stage, their moon is idle and doesn't do anything.

Hatchling Stage

Though they are often asleep, Tsuki hatchlings are actually controlling their moons through their dreams. They can use it to float them anywhere they want, or even scare away predators with its large face. The ringing of the bells on its ears makes people drowsy.

Adult Tsuki are always asleep, and their conciousness have merged with the moon's, which are their closest companions. Through their dreams, they can communicate with each other and share their thoughts through visions. When Tsuki seeks new knowledge or sights, their moon may show them its memories from its long-lived life.

Tsuki will eventually traverse to space to reunite with the real moon as it nears the end of its lifespan. As it ascends, the chiming of its bells transcends the vacuum of space and creates a bittersweet swan song. On nights like this, it is said everyone in the world will sleep well.

Story

Where do we come from?

“Where do we come from?” Tsuki asks as she dreams.

The moon's ethereal voice chimes through her mind, replying, “We fell from the sky, dear.”

Tsuki looks up to the sky with her puzzled eyes. In the inky expanse, the real moon glows near-blindingly in the shape of a perfect crescent.

"What's it like up there?'

The moon is silent, but it shares a vision with Tsuki: its beautiful memories of space and oceans of twinkling stars, dotted with diamond-ringed planets and scarlet-tailed comets.

“Beautiful… One day, dear moon, I wish to go to space!” Tsuki declares.

“Yes, one day we shall, dear.” The moon replies.
