This Hatchling's breath is like a sleeping gas.

It is a Shadow Dragon that feels like a bad memory. 

This dragon loves flying through the night, breaking into homes, and giving people nightmares. It leaves one of its floating eyes in the person's home to observe the reactions and goes into the next house. The terror the person feels in these nightmares fuels Night Terror and gives it energy. If it enters a home and no one is asleep, it will breathe out its sleeping gas-like breath and knock the person out to give them nightmares. 

Story: The Birth of a Bad Dream

Night Terror was born from the first being to have a nightmare. It took the form of what that creature found the most horrifying: A dragon. Night Terror has been searching for that same panic the creature that birthed it felt but has not found the same emotion yet. This dragon is not inherently evil, it just needs to feel fear from other creatures to survive. It does get a bit of joy out of scaring others though so its reputation is seen as negative.
