A cross between a jack-o-lantern, headless horseman, scarecrow, and of course, a dragon.

Found in the Forest of Hope (or the new Thorn Forest), rarely seen at day and mainly gotten at night.

Descriptions!

Egg - This egg looks like a glowing pumpkin.

Hatch- There’s a shadowy hatch stirring around inside.

Hatchling - This hatchling sprouted a body and legs.

Adult - The Hexkin dragon grows from a very pumpkin shaped egg, fitting it’s body out of the shell during the first few stages of their life. Their wings start to form during this time.  As it becomes a pre-adult, the shell becomes thicker; almost like a mask that hides it’s unformed face beneath. In the final stages, the ‘pumpkin’ is fully a part of the body and cannot be removed. The wings are also fully developed when they’re an adult.

Story!

Every Halloween night, the Hexkin dragon wisps around in the shadows on the hunt for mischief. They have been causing trouble since the first ever celebration,  leading their victims into believing that it was an evil spirit. The people dressed up in costumes to trick the Hexkin into thinking they monsters in a desperate attempt to keep the dragon away and their treats safe. Because of it’s low intelligence, their sneaky tactic has worked for hundreds of years.
