This egg is covered in soft fur, holding a moon gem. A faint glow shines around it

[This hatch's soft fur protects it from the cold areas of space]

This hatch loves to bound through space, collecting precious jewels. It searches far and wide for a partner to     explore with.

[This hatchling tries to make friends with other dragons]

It just wants to make friends, yet some dragons are scared by her glowing appearance, 

while others see the jewels and believe they are a thief. 

Unable to make friends, this hatch isolates itself so they wont feel the pain of rejection

(the male looks like it has white eyes but that was my lighting. Its eyes are blue :DD)

[I find others who share my pain. We bond through our suffering, becoming closer than anyone.]

Vialyx travels to many places, trying to build friendships, but others seem scared of her. 

Yet when she isolates herself, she finds others like her. 

Bonded through similar troubles, they become very close. 

At last, Vialyx has someone who sees her as a dragon who was shunned by society, instead of a threat.

Having been rejected from birth, this is the happiest she has felt in her life.

[Story]

With her friends, they travel far and wide through space.

They decide to stop and rest on a calm, luscious planet. But before they settle down, Vialyx spots something.

“Look! Over there.”

She points toward a nearby lake, where other dragons are playing in the water. They are laughing and enjoying  themseves. Vialyx feels a bit envious, wishing she could play with others as causully as that. 

“Hey.”

Her friend taps her shoulder, sensing her longing. Vialyx sighs, feeling ashamed, knowing that she overlooked   her best friend in her thoughts.

“I'm sorry.”

Vialyx buries her face in her hands. Her friend watches her with a thoughtful look. Then she turns toward the lake where the other dragons are playing. She smiles, an idea coming to her. 

“Vialyx. Other dragons don't like how you look right?”

Vialyx looks up.

“Yea. Why?”

“If they dont like how you look, then we'll just disguise you! Then we can go play with the others!”

Vialyx opens her mouth to disagree, but stops. She realizes that was actually a good idea. She looks around in  confusion

“But how are we gonna disguise me? I'm just too brightly colored.”

“Trust me, I got this. Just close your eyes."

Vialyx does so, squeezing her eyes shut, anticipation racing through her body. Her friends grabs some large flowers from nearby, gathering them in front of her. She sorts them by color, then picks up a large, dark blue blossom. She holds it over Vialyx's back, and squeezes it hard. 

Dark blue juice drips out from it, smearing all over Vialyx's white fur. 

Vialyx shudders, feeling slightly uncomfortable. Her friend smooths the dye until it covers her entire back. Then she grabs another flower, and does the same to Vialyx's face. 

When she is done, Vialyx looked more dark blue than white, perfectly disguising her bright colors.

“There we go! Now we can go play in the water!”

“But won't it wash of in the lake?”

“But by then, they will see that you aren't evil at all!”

Enthusitically, her friend pushes Vialyx toward the water. Vialyx tumbles forward then jumps to her feet, nervous. The dragons in the stare at her for a second, before calling out.

“Hey, you! You should come and play with us! Its really fun in the water!”

Vialyx hesitates, but her friend pulls her forward excitedly. They jump into the water, splashing everyone around. With playful cries, they splash them back. 

They played tag and many other games in the lake, and Vialyx felt like she truly fit in.

When they finally became tired, Vialyx hopped out of the water.

“Guys I had a lot of fun, but I need to show you something.” 

She shook out her fur, revealing her bright white and blue fur. The other dragons stared at her for a moment. 

Vialyx couldn't tell if they were curious stares, or shocked stares. Finally someone said,

“Nobody cares what you look like. We had lots of fun and thats all that matters.”

The others nodded and Vialyx smiled happily. Her friend bounds out of the water, and tackles her to the ground.

“I told you you'd be fine!”

She cried. With a playful growl, the other dragons all jumped out of the water and piled on top of Vialyx. Laughing, they fell out on to the grass and Vialyx felt truly happy again. This time dragons hadn't judged by her appearance, but rather her behavior.

In case it wasn't clear in the art, the male Vialyx has a longer bottom horn, bigger ears and a frown. Males have a darker and bigger tail than females.
