Hatch: Two wings begin to show some of the dragon’s glory. They shine with stars amid a deep space. Caelestia feels at home in the great expanse of space. It flies amid the stars instead of walking on the ground. A halo floats above its head.

Story:

A Dragon’s Wonder

A little dragon once dreamed of exploring the stars. He knew there was much beyond this world, and that expanse held great beauty and potential. Looking up at the night sky gave the little dragon hope.

But not everyone shared his faith. Many told the little dragon that the stars were too far, space was too cold and empty, and his dream was unreachable. Eventually the dragon’s hope faded.

Then one night, in the soft glow of late twilight, a new dragon descended from the starry sky: Caelestia. Caelestia was an angelic dragon of the universe. It had spent much of its life travelling the stars, flying through space. But Caelestia had decided it was time to come down to the world, to share the glory it had seen in the universe with those who lived there.

Caelestia heard of the little dragon with a crushed dream. “This is exactly the one who needs me,” Caelestia thought. “I will find and help this dragon.”

So Caelestia found the little dragon, and told him to have hope. Caelestia told the other dragon about its travels through space, to many distant stars. It told the dragon that there was hope, as Caelestia was able to explore the universe, it may be possible for him, too. And then Caelestia spread its wings.

Among the feathers of Caelestia’s angelic wings, there was a whole galaxy of stars. It looked like the night sky, but with all new constellations. Starlight poured from Caelestia and shone on the other dragon. The little dragon was filled with a sense of wonder and hope.

“Thank you,” he said, “ I will not give up on my dream! I must remember that there is always hope.”

The Dragon Who Flies Among the Stars
