Adult- The Moonglame Griffar is one of the strongest banes against evil. Its flames, touched by moonlight, singe and burn any unclean entity so severely that it is widely avoided by them. In times of peril or during especially dark times of year in Fall and Winter, this dragon is sought after for its ability to glow soothingly and ensure the well being of everyone around it.

Egg- The Egg has silver flames surrounding it at all times. On moonlit nights, these flames grow bigger according to how much moonlight reaches the Egg.
Hatch- The Hatch notices the moonlight before most other things, and loves to do all its activities under moonlight. When the view of the Moon is especially clear, it can be seen dancing happily to its own rhythm.
Hatchling- The Hatchling has realized its flames have the power to ward the Dark. In this effort, it passively does so if it senses any evil presences nearby. It can spend hours motionlessly gazing at the moon and learning to control its flames.
Adult- The Moonflame Griffar is a powerful herald of the Fall season. Although it can be found any time of year, it is often found during the Fall when it gets colder and darker quickly, as both villagers and Tamers alike seek the powers of the lunar flames to keep them safe, lit and warm.

Story:
As the Moonflame Griffar watches the moon, it has an internal dialogue with itself.

"Why Moon, why do I watch you for so long? Why is my gaze always upon you, and why am I enthralled by your light?"

"Because," it replies to itself, "your power is sacred in the Moon. You protect the living from the Dark with flames that absorb the Lunar Light. You are one of the sentinels against the evil forces, for there are many and they are unceasing. So must you be."
