Egg ( 알 )

This egg has soft, flowing fur with fiery energy.

The egg has a ring of soft fur that is similar to a Firetail egg. The fire of the egg moves in unusual, mystical ways, and seems to drive off negative energy. Sometimes, it shifts from hot to cold, always changing temperature.

Hatch ( 해치 )

The Hatch has a plump tail and unusual energy surrounding it.

The tail is almost as large as the entire Hatch. It may be curious, playful, protective, shy, and lazy all in the same day, as if it can't decide how to behave. Sometimes it will retreat to quiet places, but other times it will venture bravely into the open. 

Hatchling ( 해츨링 )

The Hatchling controls unusual fire that becomes hotter at will.

Upon evolution to hatchling, it stays close to a familiar place, as if guarding and watching over it. The mood and behavior has become more stable, and more mature. Once curious, it is now vigilant and sternly apprehensive. It flares the flames to burn hotter and brighter when strangers approach.

Adult ( 성체 )

It is a Nine-tailed Fox Dragon with incredible power and loyalty.

A powerful species of Firetail risen from the power of ancestral spirits. It shares many traits of other Firetails, and is believed to be an ancestor of all known Firetail species. It wields powerful flames that can turn freezing cold or scalding hot at will. It firmly stands its ground when protecting the place it grew up in, watching cautiously. When stressed or aggressive, the flames burn brighter and hotter in an instant and scorch everything they touch. 

Once playful and carefree, it is now stoic and vigilant. It prides its life to defend its home. In legend, villages were said to raise this dragon to protect their shrines and ancient relics from powerful monsters and those who mean harm. Today, it is rarely seen in the wild and thought to be only a myth. Then it is said to occur only when all Firetail species are gathered and call upon their ancestors in a time of need. 

Wielding fire, the effects of watching and touching the flames cause hypnosis, trance, and dizziness. This effect is a great defense when approaching dangerous foes. However, the aura and presence alone of this dragon send primal sensations of fear when it becomes aggressive, and so few are brave enough to challenge it.

Story ( 스토리 )

The Ancestral Flame

Far from the rest of the world, an ancient shrine stood proudly for thousands of years. Only one man visited, and he was dutifully serving as the caretaker. Every day was spent taking care of the shrine, and offering to the spirits it honored and praised. The man lived far away, but the journey was one he would always take every day. And so, the shrine thrived, thanks to one man. 

Some days, the man worked into the night. While walking home in the dark, sometimes he saw glimpses of unusual flames of many different colors near the shrine. But when he looked, they would always disappear.

One day, monsters appeared. They laughed, wielding clubs to destroy the structure. 

"What is this ugly place? No one believes in these spirits anymore!"

The man blocked their way, but he was easily pushed away. 

“No one will miss this place,” the monsters bellowed. "It's for old stories that don't exist!"

Suddenly, dazzling fire bursts from the forest and sends the monsters tumbling. The fireball rises and lands by the shrine, revealing a spectacular Firetail. The Nine-tailed Dragon bares its teeth, with tails almost blindingly bright with blue, purple and orange fire. The confused monsters begin attacking each other, disoriented from touching the flames. 

"Argh! Run! Let's get out of here!"

The Firetail sits still, watching the monsters even when they are far from sight. The man thanks the dragon for saving the shrine. Ever since, the man sees the Firetail waiting by the steps of the shrine, serving as a protector.
