Once was a lonely serpent

The serpent was very lonely. He drifted within his space, emptiness decorated with stars and endless darkness, the moon shined brightest. When he brought the sun, his realm was empty, only the gentle breeze of the wind and the bright warmth of his scales. An endless meadow, devoid of flowers, devoid of trees, clear skies that never stowed clouds. 

He looked over the mortals. He would stare at their lives, paths, deaths. He would watch the swans swim together, the ants work to build their mounds, the wolves running within their packs. The serpent’s cold heart did not allow him to weep, his duty kept his sorrows binded, he could not rest for he was the judger of all that was living. For he was their angel. 

One day, his cold heart melted upon the silence, the emptiness, the loneliness. He took a blade and split himself in two, right down the middle. For his body formed another, his divinity taken and given, the moon reflected in its eyes.

뱀은 매우 외로웠습니다. 그는 별과 끝없는 어둠으로 장식된 공허함, 달이 가장 밝게 빛나던 그의 공간 안에서 표류했습니다. 그가 태양을 가져왔을 때, 그의 영역은 텅 비어 있었고, 오직 바람의 부드러운 미풍과 그의 비늘의 밝은 온기만이 있었습니다. 끝없는 초원, 꽃도 없고 나무도 없고 구름 한 점 없는 맑은 하늘.

Seraph is the primary dragon for this competition but I wanted to create a sort of darker version of it, in the lore of my dragon, it split itself in two as it was very lonely and thus created Leviathan.

Once was a leviathan

From the body of the serpent, his body grew black from the bruise of the flesh and cold as the spilled blood that flowed to the spotless grass. The serpent’s frozen heart dripped as the cold water formed the leviathan’s frills. His eyes bright as the stars in the night sky look upon the lonely serpent. His eyes weep as he sees the sadness of his other half, the frozen expression of blankness, the denial of emotion. The leviathan embraced his twin, coiling around the soft vibrant scales, the warmth of the sun imbued within the serpent’s body, his many wings tucked between the two large masses. 

The leviathan swore to his lover, his sun, that he would bring the end. The end of the mortals, the end of all life, the end of all cycles. The end the serpent long craved. 

Thus, Leviathan was born.

한때 레비아탄이었지

뱀의 몸에서 나온 몸은 살이 상하여 검어졌고 흠 없는 풀에 흘린 피처럼 차가워졌습니다. 차가운 물이 리바이어던의 주름을 형성하자 뱀의 얼어붙은 심장이 뚝뚝 떨어졌습니다. 그의 눈은 밤하늘의 별처럼 빛나고 외로운 뱀을 바라보고 있습니다. 반쪽의 슬픔, 얼어붙은 공백의 표정, 감정의 부정을 보는 그의 눈은 눈물을 흘린다. 거대하고 부드러운 비늘, 태양의 온기가 뱀의 몸에 스며들었고, 그의 많은 날개가 두 개의 큰 덩어리 사이에 자리잡고 있었습니다.

리바이어던은 자신의 연인인 태양에게 자신이 종말을 가져오겠다고 맹세했습니다. 필멸의 존재의 끝, 모든 생명의 끝, 모든 주기의 끝. 뱀이 오랫동안 갈망했던 종말.

그리하여 레비아탄이 탄생하였다.
