As the last traces of winter fade away, April has arrived, bringing vibrant spring blossoms in full bloom across the Yutakan continent.

We sincerely hope that this month brings the warmth and tranquility of spring to your everyday lives as well.

We have prepared a variety of updates this April to bring new joy and excitement to our Tamers. In this Developer Note, we will share details about the newly joining Dragons, new systems, and key improvements.

In the first week of April, we updated the Monthly Egg, Wanderer, and a new Personality.

■ The April Monthly Egg is 'Njord'. [Available from 26.03.31]

Njord is a Dragon who shares a Bond with last March's Lucky Egg, Skadi. We hope you will discover the bittersweet story of two Dragons positioned at opposite ends of the Lemuria continent, forever unable to reach each other, through the 'Bond system'.

Please show Njord, the breakwater of Lemuria, a lot of love.

■ The April Wanderer Dragon is 'Wanderagon'. [Available from 26.04.01]

Wanderagon, who closely resembles the Wanderer in appearance and manner of speech, has a sentimental side — one that holds onto the lost emotions of others. We hope you look forward to a special encounter with Wanderagon during the time the Wanderer visits the Yutakan continent throughout April.

■ A new Personality fitting for Wanderagon, the 'Whimsical Personality', has been added. [Updated 26.04.02]

The Whimsical Personality is an Aura that can be manifested through Dragon growth, and true to its name, it calls for some genuinely inventive and whimsical behavior.

We on the development team have been following your monthly attempts to figure out the Personality conditions with great interest. We will continue to review various Personality conditions so that you can enjoy even more lively discussions going forward.

■ Lucky Egg - Mimir [Coming in April]

The Dragon 'Mimir', who holds the wisdom of thousands of years, is on the way.

Some of you may have already encountered Mimir in other Dragon Village series.

Because Mimir releases the knowledge he has gathered into the spring of wisdom located beneath the World Tree Yggdrasil, he often invites those who wander without answers to take a sip of the water he has collected.

Those who drink from the spring will experience their own potential through dreams — but finding the right answer within that experience is said to be entirely up to the individual themselves.

Please show Mimir, the wise guide of the Lemuria continent, a lot of love.

■ The Hybrid Dragon, Doodletail, is an artist Dragon who loves to draw.[Coming in April]

He may not be the most gifted, but he is truly passionate and always dedicated to honing his craft. The April Fools' event currently underway — including Juinae, Nebula, Darknix, and all the NPCs — was set in motion entirely by Doodletail's mischief.

While Doodletail stepped away for a moment, we are sharing a sneak peek at the drawing he had been working on in secret.

Please show a lot of love to Doodletail, who will be joining us sometime in April.

■ Option features have been added to the Photo system. [Updated 26.04.02]

This feature allows you to capture beautiful photos of your Dragons against the backdrop of the Yutakan continent, now painted in the soft pinks of spring.

By toggling options off, you can take Dragon photos with specific elements removed, just the way you like.

■ Menu tabs, filters, and sorting features are being improved. [Updated 26.04.02]

A 'Moon Piece' category has been added to the Bag, where various items were previously mixed together.

Check all your Moon Pieces at a glance, and try attaching your favorite ones to your Dragons.

■ We would like to explain the dualization of the currency system. [Coming in April]

The development team closely monitors your valuable play records and continuously tracks the in-game economy.

Within Dragon Village Collection, there are currently notable differences in how Tamers acquire and spend Dragems and Dragon Drinks, depending on their playstyle.

For those who prefer active trading and fast growth, or those who carefully save their currency for specific content, there never seems to be enough. On the other hand, in some cases, currency is accumulating far beyond what is needed, stagnating in excess.

This imbalance in currency holdings goes beyond a simple difference in numbers — it has become a factor that destabilizes Trading Post prices and makes it difficult to set appropriate balance for new content.

In the long run, this could diminish the inherent value of currency and reduce the joy of earning it, so we are looking to introduce a supplementary mechanism to help facilitate a healthier currency cycle.

We plan to [ add an item format with an 'expiration date' for Dragems and Dragon Drinks ].

 - Existing currency retained: The permanent currency you currently hold will remain as-is, and permanent currency items will also be maintained depending on where they were obtained.

 - Distinction in distribution method: Going forward, 'permanent' and 'time-limited' items will be distributed separately depending on the reward or event.

 - Efficient consumption system: To ease concerns about losing assets, the system will be built so that currency with a shorter expiration date is consumed first.

 - Convenience UI provided: A dedicated notification and management UI is being prepared so that you never miss currency nearing its expiration and can make the most of it at the right time.

＊ Dragems obtained through 'Dragem Purchases' and 'Dragon Trades' will be acquired as 'permanent currency'.

 - Even in the case of time-limited Dragems, if used in a trade, they will be acquired as 'permanent currency' Dragems.

 - Please also note that system reinforcements to block related abusive behavior will also be applied.

This update was a difficult decision made to create a healthier economic ecosystem within Dragon Village Collection and to continue bringing enjoyment to our Tamers.

Specific details and schedules regarding the currency system changes and new system introduction will be announced in a future detailed notice. We will do our best to ensure your valuable currency is used in a meaningful way.

■ A Mystery Box will be introduced sometime in April. [Coming in April]

During the 14-day Mystery Box event, you will be able to encounter the Dimensional Dragons you have long been waiting for, Moon Pieces that manifest the Twisted Personality, and limited-edition Landmarks and Objects that let you decorate your Village to match each Dragon's concept.

A Mystery Ticket is required to use the Mystery Box. You can use Mystery Tickets in real time to open Mystery Boxes that appear at set intervals. Mystery Tickets can be obtained using Dragems.

We are planning to make it possible to obtain a portion of Mystery Tickets through attendance check-ins and ad viewing during the Mystery Box event period.

More details and a specific schedule for the Mystery Box will be announced in a future update notice.

■ May 3, 2026 marks the glorious 3rd anniversary of Dragon Village Collection, celebrated together with all of you, our Tamers.

We are truly grateful to every Tamer who has shown us unwavering love and support over the past three years. The precious memories and stories you have created while exploring the Yutakan continent over this time have been the greatest treasure to our development team.

There is still a month to go until the anniversary itself, but we wanted to share in advance that we are working hard to prepare a variety of events and special Dragons to celebrate this day. Starting with the final update of April, we are getting ready to make Dragon Village Collection a grand festival throughout the month of May. We will do our best to bring joyful energy to your everyday lives. We look forward to your continued excitement and support.
