Dev Note 2026.03.23 - Spring Festival Improvements

Hello Tamers,

 

This is the Dragon Village Collection development team.

 

First of all, we sincerely apologize for the concern caused to Tamers regarding the ongoing “Spring Festival Event.”

We have carefully reviewed all of the valuable feedback shared through the community, and the entire development team feels a strong sense of responsibility for the disappointment and frustration that Tamers experienced, from the event design to the communication process.

Today, we would like to explain the development team’s position on the major issues raised by players and share our direction for future improvements.

 

1. Improvement of Event Difficulty Settings and Reward Tier Visibility

This event was designed with both reward tiers that can be reached through in-game activity and tiers that can be reached through product purchases. However, the difficulty of the reward tiers reachable through in-game play alone was set higher than what many Tamers felt was reasonable.

In addition, we overlooked the fact that tiers requiring purchases were not clearly recognizable in advance, which could lead to unintended misunderstandings for Tamers. We sincerely apologize for the negative experience caused during the event due to shortcomings in the design.

Therefore, we will immediately lower the difficulty required to obtain the basic gameplay rewards in the ongoing Spring Festival Event.

Going forward, we will clearly visualize the boundary between reward tiers obtainable through purchases and those obtainable through in-game activities so that Tamers can set their gameplay goals more reasonably.

 

2. Apology for the Delay in Communication

There is no excuse for the delayed communication that many of you pointed out. We sincerely apologize.

While the event was ongoing, we were reviewing the balance of reward tiers and simultaneously preparing the next week’s event, which resulted in prolonged internal discussions and delayed responses.

It was not intentional silence, but we deeply regret that it ultimately increased the frustration felt by Tamers. In the future, we promise to respond more quickly to your voices.

 

3. Use of In-Game Currency and Strengthening Strategic Elements

Compared to past event formats, we identified that there were insufficient elements allowing players to utilize Drinks or Dragem within the event.

We attempted to avoid balance issues caused by differences in Drink ownership among Tamers, but in doing so we failed to include elements that allow players to feel a sense of achievement by efficiently managing their own resources.

In future events, we will consider differences in currency ownership while designing participation structures that allow Tamers to actively engage in events by investing the various resources or time they possess.

 

4. Commitments and Actions

 

To ease the disappointment felt by Tamers even slightly, we will immediately implement the following measures.

1. Event Difficulty Adjustment: We will immediately adjust the difficulty for obtaining dragons so that rewards through in-game activities can be obtained more smoothly.

2. Clear Balance Information and Guidance: When announcing events, we will clearly inform players how much event currency can be obtained and which reward tiers can reasonably be reached.

3. Purchase Refund Support: For Tamers who purchased packages related to this event, if you wish to receive a refund based on the updated operation policy, we will provide refunds according to the proper procedures.

※ Refund Eligibility: Spring Festival event-related packages purchased from the start of the event until the time this developer note is posted.

※ Refund Procedure: Please send the payment receipt for the purchase you wish to refund (which can be confirmed in your store purchase history) to Customer Support, and we will process the refund or provide guidance for the refund process.

Even though we may repeatedly find ourselves apologizing for our mistakes, we believe that sincerity is important, and that is why we wanted to share this message.

Based on the feedback from Tamers, we will continue striving to become a development team that earns your trust.
