MLB 9 Innings Rivals Dev Note #2

Hello, this is the producer of MLB 9 Innings Rivals.

The regular season of 2023 has ended, and the Division Series has begun.

We are grateful for users' overwhelming interest in our Postseason Pick'em content. We'll prepare the Pick'em for the next regular season so you can continue to have fun.

We have added new content and enhanced balance through build updates and live updates since we originally introduced you in the last dev note. We hope the changes, including league mode play statistics, club battle, and special card deck score adjustments, satisfy users.

Today, we'd like to introduce you to the October and future updates our team is working on.

First, we're working on content for the following October release, such as improvements to Live Match and the development transfer system discussed in the previous dev note.

1. Live Match improvement

- Pitcher stamina and starting pitcher rotation systems will be added.

- A separate lineup for Live Match will be added. Users can employ starting pitcher rotation tactics and starting, relief, and closing pitcher tactics appropriate for their deck circumstances.

- Changes will be made so that you can immediately earn rewards based on your season tier. In addition, when the season ends, those with high rankings will earn unique ranking rewards.

- Instead of deleting the season missions that allowed you to earn rewards depending on your level of achievement throughout the season, you will be able to earn play rewards based on records you made in each game.

2. Player card development transfer system

- A development transfer system will be added, allowing users to transfer parts of their favorite player cards' stats to other cards for that player.

- Development transfer is possible for normal and special player cards.

· Normal player card: Development transfer between Season and Live Cards is possible

· Special player card: Development transfer among Impact, Prime, and Signautre Cards is possible

- Specific items and points must be purchased from the Content Shop and Stadium Shop for development transfer.

- The values turned into EXP points, such as limit break and special training, are transferred with 100% of the EXP points preserved, regardless of the card grade to be transferred or acquired. In developing content where probability is used, such as upgrade or training boost, a partial deduction will be made if the card you are transferring to is of a higher grade.

- If the card you will receive the development transfer to has been already developed to a certain extent, the transferred EXP is added to the current EXP. The stats that is affected by the probability is compared to the calculated value of the card to transfer and the higher value is applied.

- In the case of potential unlock and training stat distribution based on limit break, which is transferred by adding up the final EXP, it is randomly redistributed when development is transferred, much like the basic development system.

3. Other QoL improvements and in-game and visual effect improvement

  • - UI/UX will be improved including item acquisition information, player substitution pop-up and defensive statistics.

- The Cincinnati Reds' home run celebration and Johnny Cueto (SF/CWS/MIA)/ Nestor Cortes (NYY) unorthodox pitching forms will be added, and infielders' movements will be improved.

An official update notice will provide more details about the October update.

Following that, we will inform you of upcoming upgrades after November.

1. Workshop and combination system

- We're working on a system that combines player cards from a workshop where unwanted player cards and items can be exchanged for other items, such as training cards and balls.

2. Event modes

- Similar to the last upgrade event mode, we are working on numerous event modes designed for player card limit breaks, skill change, and so on by using event points acquired in the mode.

3. New game mode

- We're working on a new game mode allowing users to play in a more immersive environment.

MLB 9 Innings Rivals is an officially licensed MLB game, and each update offered to users is subject to MLB review and approval. The review procedure may occasionally take longer than planned, delaying the update schedule or making it unable to offer various information in advance. We appreciate your patience.

Our team is working hard to bring updates as soon as possible, and we will continue to do everything we can to keep our users happy.

This is all we have prepared for the dev note.

We've prepared a special gift for all as a token of appreciation.
