CP amount isn't a win/lose condition
Having a higher CP doesn't mean you guarantee a win against somebody, but having a better team ultimately decides who wins a fight. Things like core types and special status effects also majorly decide who wins. For example, I was able to get more damage on the guild boss than my teammate who has around 20k more CP. I did that by accompanying iD DoT damage and Patricia's Ultimate Skill that boosts damage if there are more DoT skills active.
