Here are some tips to get started, be warned the game is hard and u need every possible advantage in the beginning.
 
1. First and foremost, never use Auto mode. The game requires careful use and placement of your units to beat most stages. Also, use x1 speed so u can slowly strategize your moves.
 
2. In the beginning, try to build a balanced team with whatever units you have. U will almost always need every type of unit in most cases. Focus on the basic placement of a healer behind your tank. Then place DPS units behind them. Some units have skills that u can manually cast, but take note skills share the same cost to place a unit. Refer to in-game tips on each stage, they will give u an idea on how you should tackle that stage.
 
3. Don't spend all your resources on summoning right away. U will need to buy stamina to keep playing. Collect the free stamina twice daily and spend them before it reaches the cap.
 
4. If u find some stages to be too difficult, u may try to use the flyer strategy. Use flyers to directly attack your enemy tower (Evelynn, Salaph) and place a tank on your tower to absorb hits. It doesn't always work but for most stages in the beginning, it will. Using certain units together with synergies can help u turn the tide.
 
5. Once u start to progress to later chapters, u will find it very difficult to beat stages with normal units. Try to get Lottie, she is incredibly strong and will push you ahead so much. Her ultimate will clear the whole wave instantly.
 
6. For summoning, always prioritize Pick Up Summon. The featured units can't be obtained from the other banners. U can only get Lottie or Serena from there. If you are spending money, be sure to aim for these two units first, they are both incredibly strong. 
 
7. As with other gacha games, patience is key. Be wise with resource management, if you get stuck, just take your time and level up your units more. Invest in tarots to boost units power. U can freely reset your units for free so use that to your advantage because some stages require multiple units of the same type. Try to finish every daily quests and events so you receive most rewards.
