Developer Note #8

Hello, Summoners!
This is PD Leo!
The dev team is hard at work on the upcoming 1.9 update. But! I heard someone has already cleared Chapter 211... That’s truly incredible.
As expected, our players clear content at a terrifying pace.
Honestly, I’m nervous that Floor 250 of the Tower of Infinity will be cleared any moment now.
◆ Skin System
The first topic today is the Skin System.
Right now, the Skin icon is hidden since it still takes time to participate in Co-op Raids 60 times.
Starting with the 1.9 update, we’ll showcase the Skin icon as players begin hitting that milestone.
(Between us... the system wasn’t quite finished, so we had to keep it closed until now!)
You’ll find the Skin menu at the bottom left of the Summoner screen.

As the translation is in progress, we kindly ask for your understanding that the image has been temporarily replaced with the Korean version.
Skins are made up of three parts: Outfits, Weapons, and Effects.

As the translation is in progress, we kindly ask for your understanding that the image has been temporarily replaced with the Korean version.
Whenever you acquire a Skin, you’ll also receive Skin Points, which increase your Summoner’s stats.

The Saja Reaper Skin has been created for a total of six characters.
The final reward of the Saja Reaper Event, the [Saja Reaper Skin Selection Chest], allows you to unlock all three parts for one Summoner of your choice.
Since you won’t be able to immediately obtain the other five characters’ Skins, I strongly recommend carefully choosing the one you like most.
The Skin System is designed so everyone can enjoy it.
Instead of being immediately available for Karats or in-app purchases, Skins will first be offered through events.
Our focus is on fun over monetization.
Later on, if you miss an event or want to expand your collection, we’ll provide opportunities to obtain them with Karats or through special purchase options.
* Share Your Skin Ideas!
To highlight communication with players, we’d love to gather ideas for the next Skin.
The next batch is planned for late October, so please leave your Skin concepts in the comments.
Whether it’s a theme that fits the season, a concept for a specific Summoner, a quick sketch, or even a single line of text, we welcome all ideas.
Our Art Director will personally select some of the best suggestions, and we’ll send gifts to the winners.
Don’t miss your chance to shape the next Skin!
◆ Feedback Roundup
1. Collecting Ad Rewards All At Once
We’ve worked on this! In the upcoming update, you’ll be able to claim all ad rewards in Shop > Essentials at once.
(Honestly... I kept bugging the devs about it because even I was tired of all the tapping. Finally!)
2. Lock Ability Set Effects And Only Reroll Slots
I get the frustration. I also pulled an SS-tier Ability and ruined it while trying to get the set I wanted.
The reason we won’t allow locking set effects is because chasing that perfect Ability is meant to feel truly rare and rewarding.
If it became too easy, the excitement of hitting the jackpot would fade, and those who invested heavily might feel let down.
For now, this system will remain as is.
3. Bulk Selection for the Multiple Selection Chests
We do plan to improve this, but there’s no timeline yet due to other priorities.
4. Uses for Leftover Zanmang Loopy Weapons
Don’t worry. LE-tier weapons will have a use in the future. We’re planning this for version 1.10.
5. Co-op Raid Availability
players are active, especially around lunch and dinner.
We’ll continue monitoring the data and make adjustments if needed.
Some players have requested two raids per day, but since many aspects of the game are designed around two daily logins, this was an intentional choice.
Still, we’ll keep reviewing.
6. Make Guardian Champions More Useful
We completely understand this feedback, especially about poor Whalo...
(Even I often use Guardians just as backups since my Summoner keeps dying.)

As the translation is in progress, we kindly ask for your understanding that the image has been temporarily replaced with the Korean version.
We’re actively reviewing ways to make Guardians more impactful, so please stay tuned.
◆ 1.9 Improvements Roundup
1. Summon Improvements

As the translation is in progress, we kindly ask for your understanding that the image has been temporarily replaced with the Korean version.
Before, if you had fewer than 10 Minion Cores or Champion Cores, you couldn’t summon at all, which was inconvenient.
Finally, this has been improved!
Thanks to all the players who suggested it, we were able to patch it quickly.
And one more piece of good news! A skip option is also being added for single summons.
2. Dungeon Dominion Auto Deploy
Deploying Champions every time was tiring. Now you’ll be able to use Auto Deploy.

As the translation is in progress, we kindly ask for your understanding that the image has been temporarily replaced with the Korean version.
3. Improved Summoning Rules in Battle
Some of you may have experienced this: you acquire a Greater Minion Summon Passive Card, but since you already have 100 Basic Minions on the battlefield, the Greater Minion doesn’t appear. As mentioned back in Developer Note #6, this fix was planned for 1.9 and now it’s confirmed. Even if you have 100 Basic Minions alive, when you obtain a Greater Minion Summon Card, new ones will spawn and replace Basics with Greater Minions. This should also help smooth out some of the more difficult parts of the Tower of Infinity.
4. Lord’s Ring Effect Update
The Epic effect of the Lord’s Ring has been updated.
Before: Summons +30 Minions upon obtaining a new Champion card.
After: Summoner’s Skill Range +5
With Minion Passive Cards becoming more effective, the previous effect of the Lord’s Ring had become less useful.
Now, equipping the Lord’s Ring will allow Summoners to cast skills from farther away, making it a more valuable choice.
5. Standard Monthly Subscription Update: Event Ticket’s x20 Multiplier Option
Now, equipping the Lord’s Ring will allow Summoners to cast skills from farther away, making it a more valuable choice.
5. Standard Monthly Subscription Update: Event Ticket’s x20 Multiplier Option
Previously, spending event tickets after purchasing event items took too much time.
We had mentioned before that we’d continue adding benefits to the Standard Monthly Subscription, and with this update, we’re introducing a new feature that lets you use x20 multiplier for events.
We’ll keep listening closely to your feedback and continue working to make Minion Rumble more fun.
Not every feature can be added immediately, but please keep sharing your thoughts and staying with us.
That's all for today.
Next week, we’ll go deeper into the details of the 1.9 update, and we’ll also have some BIG NEWS to share.
Please look forward to it!
Oh!
Don’t forget...!
