동쪽 대륙의 전설

The Legend of the East Continent

유타칸 반도의 동쪽에 위치한 대륙, 이곳에서는 입에서 입으로 전해져오는 하나의 전설이 있다.

A continent on the east side of the Yutakan Peninsula, where there is a legend handed down from mouth to mouth.

“세상의 균형을 무너뜨리고, 질서를 어지럽히는 존재가 나타날 때 거대하고 강력한 존재가 나타나 그것을 멸(滅) 하고, 그 목적을 이루면 자신을 품던 모습으로 돌아가기를 반복하여 윤회(輪廻)한다.”

“When a being that breaks the balance of the world and disturbs order appears, a huge and powerful being appears and destroys it, and when the purpose is achieved, it repeats to return to the way it was held.”

동쪽 대륙에는 ‘드래곤’과 ‘테이머’ 라는 개념이 없었기 때문에, 고대 동쪽 대륙의 주민들은 혼돈을 멸하는 모습에서 그를 멸(滅) 이라고 칭하고, 그를 신으로 모시며 풍요와 안정, 다산 등을 기원했다고 전해진다.

Since there were no concepts of "Dragon" and "Tamer" in the eastern continent, it is said that the residents of the ancient eastern continent called him Extinction  in the appearance of destroying chaos, enshrined him as a god, and prayed for abundance, stability, and fertility.

유타칸의 저명한 학자들은 ‘멸의 전설이 사실에 근거한 이야기라면, 아마도 멸은 유타칸의 말로단과 같은 거대 드래곤이었을 것이다’ 라는 주장을 내세웠다.

이에 수긍한 드래곤 협회는, 유타칸의 실력있는 4명의 테이머를 동쪽 대륙에 파견하여, 멸의 전설에 관하여 조사를 의뢰하였다.

Prominent scholars in Yutakan argued that if the legend of Extinction was based on facts, the destruction was probably a giant dragon like the Malodan in Yutakan.

In response, the Dragon Association dispatched four talented Tamers from Utah to the eastern continent to investigate the legend of destruction.

동쪽 대륙에 발을 들인 테이머들은 대륙의 중심이자, 멸에게 제사를 지내던 장소인 ‘무아의 사원’ 으로 발걸음을 옮겼다.

그들이 마주한 사원은 대부분이 파손되어 기둥만 남은 처참한 모습이었다. 허나, 사원의 중심에 위치한 검은 구슬이 놓여진 제단 만큼은 흠집조차 찾아볼 수 없었다.

The Tamers, who entered the eastern continent, moved to the "Muah's Temple," the center of the continent and the place where sacrifices were held to the Extinction.

Most of the temples they faced were damaged and looked miserable with only columns left. However, the altar with black beads in the center of the temple was not even scratched.

테이머들은 검은 구슬을 조사하기 시작했다. 대부분의 테이머들은 “멸의 전설이 사실이라면, 이 구슬이 멸의 알일 것이다.” 라는 의견에 동의하고 있을 무렵. 단 한 명의 테이머가 이 의견에 반대하였다. “구슬을 관찰하면, 분명 어떠한 물체보다도 투명하지만, 구슬 속에서 흐르는 검은 것이 내부를 전혀 볼 수 없게 만들기 때문에, 속에 멸의 새끼가 있는지는 확인이 어렵다” 라는 이유였다.

The timers began to examine the black beads. By the time most of the timers were agreeing with the idea, "If the legend of destruction is true, this bead will be the egg of Extinction." Only one Tamer objected to this opinion. “If you observe the bead, it is definitely more transparent than any other object, but it is difficult to confirm whether there is a baby of Extinction in it because the black thing flowing in the bead makes it impossible to see the inside at all.”

그 때, G스컬이 나타나 테이머들을 습격했다.

알 수 없는 힘을 사용하는 G스컬에게 테이머들은 속수무책으로 쓰러져나갔다. 테이머들을 모두 처리한 G스컬은 온 힘을 다해 구슬을 내려치기 시작했다. “이 힘만 있으면… 세상을 파멸을 이끌 수 있다… 하하하!!!” G스컬의 일격에 구슬은 검은 액체와 함께 산산히 조각났다. G스컬은 구슬에서 흘러나오는 검은 액체를 마시며 미친듯이 웃었다.

Then, G. Skull appeared and attacked the timers.

To G Skull, who uses unknown force, the Tamers collapsed helplessly. Having disposed of all the timers, G-Scull began to hit the beads with all his might. "With this power... Can lead the world to ruin... Hahaha!!!" G-Scull's blow shattered the bead with a black liquid. G. Skull laughed frantically as he drank the black liquid from the beads.

그 순간, 사원의 바닥에서 쩌적 하는 소리가 들리며, 한 둥근 물체가 떠올랐다. 그것의 중간에는 먹물로 쓰여진 듯한 모습으로 滅 이라는 문자가 새겨져 있었다. 모두의 앞에 나타난 둥근 물체는 환한 빛을 내뿜었는데, 그 빛을 정면으로 마주한 테이머의 말에 따르면, “그것이 내 눈을 비출 때, 주위에 모든 것들이 흑백으로 변했다” 는 빛이었다.

At that moment, a rattling sound was heard on the floor of the temple, and a round object came to mind. In the middle of it, the letter 滅 was engraved in the form of ink. The round object that appeared in front of everyone gave off a bright light, which, in the words of Tamer, who faced it head-on, was the light that “when it shone into my eyes, everything around it turned black and white.”

이윽고 빛이 멎고, 둥근 물체가 있던 자리에는 사원에 있던 구슬을 염주와 같이 두른, 날개 대신 먹물이 흐르는 팔이 달린 드래곤이 G스컬의 멱살을 잡고 있었다. 당황한 G스컬에게 그 존재는 잔잔하고도 날카롭게 말했다.

“나의 힘을 얻으려는 자는 네가 처음이 아니다. 모든 것에는 질서가 있거늘.. 허나 너 또한 윤회의 한 조각일 뿐이로구나. 빌어 먹을 놈.”

등에 붙은 네개의 팔이 G스컬에게서 검은 액체를 뽑아내기 시작하였다. “으아아아아악!!” G스컬이 괴로운 듯 소리쳐도 그것은 아랑곳 하지 않았다. G스컬에서 빠져나온 검은 액체는 그의 염주의 형태로 재구성되었다.

Eventually, the light stopped, and in the place where the round object was, a dragon with an arm flowing with ink instead of a wing, wrapped in beads from the temple like a beads, was holding G Skull by the collar. The presence spoke calmly and sharply to the bewildered G Skull.

"You are not the first to seek my strength. There's order in everything.. But you're also just a piece of reincarnation. Bloody hell."

The four arms on his back began to draw black liquid from the G-skull. "Argh!" G-Scull shouted painfully, but he didn't care. The black liquid escaping from the G-scull was reconstructed in the form of his beads.
