Cometail Dragons fall into the category of Dream and Metal due to the ever-burning star that stays with them through-out their lives, always burning and becoming more dense with metals as they grow, changing its color as they age. 
 

As eggs, they are circled by dull red stars that bring the egg warmth and energy to survive in the wild, although they are more likely to survive in a hot or warm environment whilst still an egg.

When they hatch, Cometails freely roam as their star follows their tail, leaving behind a small trail of stardust as it roams. As they are very similar to alien dragons, they enjoy roaming and exploring the area.

As Hatchlings, this dragon begins to chase after it’s now blue star, playing with the increasing gravity of such a powerful part of itself, sometimes this causes them to spin in circles in any direction without control just to try and catch their star.

As Adults, this dragon has mastered using the more dense gravity of the star to its advantage, allowing its glowing tail to consistently curl and orbit the star, using it as though it was a gyroscope for a more convenient and easy way of travel through any terrain by balancing upon their star.

This is a female cometail, males lack a ring when they hatch and have one less ring as they grow, and have less ‘spines’ as an adult. Cometail‘s tails are the color of their star due to accumulating stardust clinging to them.
