I'm not very good at drawing so I hope I got the idea across!
Patchwork Dragon
Egg - This egg is wrapped in fabric
Hatch - This newly hatched dragon loves cuddling its tamer
Hatchling - This hatchling is eager to help with creative projects
Adult - This well-loved dragon is worn and missing parts, but it's unbothered by that. It loves spending time relaxing with its tamer
Biology
This dragon grows as more fabric and stuffing is added to it, otherwise it stays at its beginning size. The dragon can take any form and be customized as long as the heart on its chest remains untouched. It is able to repair itself if needed, though it much prefers it's tamer to do so.
The dragons age can typically be guessed by how many patches the dragon has, the wear of the fabric, and if it has any missing features. Because of the nature of this dragon, it's rare to see two who look alike.
They do not eat, but the dragon will become unresponsive and indistinguishable from a normal plush if neglected by its tamer.
Story
Once there was a child who loved dragons very much. One day their grandmother gave them a handmade plush of a dragon. It instantly became the childs favorite toy and they took it everywhere they went. As the child played with the dragon they imagined it was a real one, and with the childs love and imagination, the plush dragon moved and flew around the room, much to the childs delight.
The new best friends were inseparable, and as time passed, and the little dragon's fabric wore and tore, the grandmother would patch the holes and fix broken stitches.
The dragon grew alongside the child, and soon the child learned from the Grandmother how to patch together the dragon. The child and dragon had fun picking out fabric together for repairs, and the child found their passion for art. The dragon encouraged the child's creativity, excited to see their Tamer’s imagination in action.
As the child became an adult, they became an artist of renown, and the dragon proudly by their side. The dragon was now well worn and missing parts, it's days of play long behind it. But that bothers it none; the well-loved dragon now spends its time sleeping next to its Tamer, content to be by their side.
