Clarification on two forms:

I was thinking that the normal form (the upper image) could be found in Starlight coral reef and it's basically just a normal dragon of the species.

The other form (lower image with bow): Could be accessible either in a quest where some our the human characters wants to explore fashion of the deep sea and ends up receiving the special form egg or a rare chance to get it through breeding/exploration.

The original idea was simply the second form but I also kind of wanted to include more info about the species itself rather than just this one character. Which is why I made two forms. 

But, this whole thing can also just be skipped completely and just one of the forms could be used. I couldn't decide on if I wanted to scrap this idea or not so I'll just leave the idea as a possibility.

The Maasi egg is usually found wedgd in diferent species of colourful and toxic anemone or giant abandoned shells, sheltered from predators who may try to take a bite. Due to the eggs being found at the bottom of the ocean, they are susceptible to earthquakes and volcanic activities. The shell, unlike many others eggs, are slightly rubbery instead of hard. This Protects the egg from breaking in case of hard impacts.

When Maasi is young, their parents leave them on their own to go forage for food. The halitrephes early life is similar to that of a seal. Kind of cute and a bit naive. The baby has a Brigtly coloured transprent fin. In the fin spikes, there is strong venom which has parayzing proprties and most other life tends to avoid the babies. They are usually not worth the trouble. The bright colours are there to warn. Due to the baby halitrephes not having many predators, they tend to be a bit too curious and wander off.

As the Maasi grows up, the colour of the sail starts to fade along with the venom. In the hatchling stage, the venom is still there but not as much as a hatch. The legs start to grow much more and the claws become more pronounced. The famed “eye of the ocean” also starts to announce it's presence. The “eye of the ocean” is not actually a real eye. It's similar to a sort of jellyfish. The thin strings that can be seen are used as feelers.

The adult Maasi is very docile and calm compared to its younger years. The adults mostly spend their days foraging around the ocean floor for scraps or sleeping.

The adults have almost no venom left. It's not clear why the adults lose their venom as this makes them easier targets which. Though the Halitrephes still has it's defense. The skin is full of tough, tightly knitted scales on a very thick, rubbery skin. It's not gonna be a walk in the park, trying to get through its scale-skin layer. Coupled with the giant size of the Maasi, only the fierce and patiet would go after one.

As adults, the famed “eye of the ocean” has emerged fully. The Species is most popular for the enchanting eye like jelly circle on its chest. Coupled with the black marking, it really does look like a eye.
