Hello, thank you for your time !! I’d like to introduce you to the Chimera Dragon!
Type: | Multi-Hybrid Dragon |
Element: | Dream/Earth |
Obtain method: | Exploration |
Location: | Thorn Tree Forest |
Favorite food: | Bright Pink Berries |
Discovery Time: | Found all year round, mostly in the morning |
Average Height: | 1.346 Meters |
EGG: “This egg looks like various animals.”
Warm and fuzzy to touch, this egg is found lying underneath berry bushes. The pink coating of the egg blends in well with the berries- with the lower half often being hidden behind the leaves. The horns on its head protect it from enemies- if any.
HATCH: “This hatch is very curious about the world around it”
Looking like more than one animal is not a very common trait. Though the dragon is not aware that it isn’t normal- the other dragons around it do, often mocking the poor creature for how it looks. Chimera is a very sensitive dragon, and seeks comfort in the various animal friends its’ sad since youth.
HATCHLING: “This hatchling has learned to be stronger.”
Growing up and being told you’re different isn’t easy. However, as the hatchling grows older, it realizes that its fur makes it unique, and it grows to be very proud of that. No matter what anybody says, Chimera knows its fur is beautiful, as are its strong horns and fascinating eyes. At least- that’s what all its friends tell it.
ADULT: “This dragon is very proud of her appearance.”
Now fully grown, Chimera is well-known and well-respected. It knows it is beautiful, and it reminds itself of that every day. The animals in the forest look up to it and are a constant reminder that the friends you have are far more valuable than any bitter and jealous dragons that try to put you down. Every day, the dragon thanks its friends, and it thanks the stars for its special appearance.
STORY: “Stand up for yourself, Chimera!”
“Freak! The gods couldn’t pick just one animal for you to copy?”
“Ew, why do you look like that?”
Chimera sniffles as it looks into the river. Was it really a freak..? She never knew she took the appearance of already existing animals. Was she really a copycat?
Suddenly, the rabbit hops up to her side, nuzzling her pink fur, “Chimera.. don’t listen to them. They’re jealous that they aren’t nearly as unique and beautiful as you!”
The birds agree, “Yeah! They wish they had both beautiful pink fur and tough horns!”
Chimera shakes her head. “You guys really think so..?”
The animals all chirp and hum in agreement, and Chimera can’t help it but to smile. She looks at the river, and sees a different dragon. One who smiles and slowly realizes her beauty.
“Yeah.. yeah! Maybe you guys are right. I’m going to try to remind myself of that every day when I’m feeling sad!”
And from that day on, she reminded herself of her beauty, no matter what her bullies thought. Seeing her newfound confidence, her bullies realized they couldn’t bother her any more, and Chimera finally lived in peace with her friends by her side.
