“이 알은 악몽을 추적한다.”

“This egg tracks nightmares.”

꿈결처럼 부드러운 털이 알을 감싸고 있다. 부적에 달린 깃털이 고요하게 흔들린다.

The soft fur wraps around the egg like a dream. The feathers on the amulet shake silently.

[ 해치 . Hatch ]

“정제되지 않은 꿈의 기운이 주위를 부유하며 사라졌다 나타나길 반복한다.”

“The repeat that the energy of an unfurled dream floats and disappears around the hatch.”

부적에 달린 깃털이 분리되어 사라짐과 동시에 부화한다. 은은한 라벤더 향이 난다. 갓 태어난 해치는 꿈을 식별하고 파악하는 능력이 부족하여 항상 눈을 감고 다양한 꿈을 느낀다.

The feathers on the amulet separate and disappear and hatch at the same time. It has a subtle lavender scent. Newborn hatch always closes its eyes and feels various dreams due to its lack of ability to identify and grasp dreams.

“성장한 해츨링은 커다란 부적을 만들기 시작한다.”

둥근 틀과 실을 사용해 악몽을 잡을 그물을 엮는다, 또한 부적과 자신을 단단히 연결시켜 줄 장신구들을 만든다. 본격적으로 자신의 역할을 위한 준비를 하기 시작한다.

They use round frames and threads to weave nets that will catch nightmares, and they also make accessories that will firmly connect themselves to amulets. They begin to prepare for their roles in earnest.

“평온한 꿈을 망치려는 악몽을 잡아 달콤한 꿈의 기운으로 바꾼다.”

말이 없고 항상 조용하며 신비로운 분위기를 띈다. 향이 부드럽고 진해졌으며 맡는 이로 하여금 긴장을 풀어주고 안정감을 느끼도록 도와준다. 

매우 능숙하게 악몽을 잡는다, 밤에는 존재감을 감추고 잠든 이의 근처를 맴돌며 평온한 꿈을 꿀 수 있도록 지킨다.

There are no words and it always has a quiet and mysterious atmosphere. The scent has become soft and thick, and it helps the person in charge to relax and feel secure.

He catches nightmares very skillfully, hides his presence at night, hovers near the sleeping person, and protects him to have a peaceful dream.

어느 작은 마을에 매일 악몽을 꿔서 괴로워하는 아이가 있었습니다.

아이는 밤마다 잠에 들기 두려워하며 큰 소리로 울었습니다.

“잠에 들기 너무 무서워…! 악몽이 또 날 괴롭힐 거야…”

아이는 매일 밤을 눈물로 지새웠습니다, 아이는 간절히 악몽을 꾸지 않게 해달라고 빌고 또 빌었습니다.

아이의 간절한 소원을 들은 듯, 어느 날 밤 은은한 달빛이 방을 비추었고 아이의 앞에 드래곤이 나타나 긴 몸으로 따뜻하고 안정감을 제공하며 감싸 안았습니다.

부드러운 향과 따뜻한 온기에 진정된 아이는 눈꺼풀이 무거워지는 것을 느끼며 잠에 들었습니다.

그날 밤은 악몽이 아이를 괴롭힐 수 없었고, 아이는 평온한 꿈을 꿀 수 있었습니다.

아침이 되어 일어난 아이는 아주 오랜만에 상쾌한 기분으로 깨어났습니다.

곧 아이는 머리맡에 놓인 부적을 발견하고 자신의 악몽을 몰아내준 드래곤을 떠올리며 미소를 지었습니다.

드래곤이 선물한 부적 덕분에 아이는 이 이후 악몽을 꾸지 않게 되었습니다.

The child cried loudly every night, afraid to go to sleep.

"I'm so scared to go to sleep...! Nightmares will haunt me again..."

The child spent every night in tears, begging and begging him not to have nightmares.
