-The feather on top of the egg is bright and colorful. The bigger and brighter the feather the more attention the egg is likely to recieve.

 

Hatch: "this hatch practices its display"

-As a hatch the young dragon spends the majority of it time practicing its display by dancing and strutting. They will usually practice around their owners and parents in hopes of recieving appraise. However, during this time the dragon is very clumsy and often messes up

 

Hatchling: "This hatchling has become quite confident"

- Unlike during the hatch phase, the hatchling peacock dragon has become much more graceful and elegent in its display. Its feathers are more vibrant and colorful than before and its wings are strong and graceful. It spends most of its time trying to impress potential future mates by flashing the eye spots on its tail which can reflect light at certain angles.

 

Adult: "This dragon likes to show off"

-Now an adult, the peacock dragon has become extremely confident and struts its stuff wherever it goes making sure they are always noticed. Their confidence can make for a tough dragon to train as they tend to ignore commands and are more focused on themselves. They constanly groom themselves and make sure they are always looking their best

-Some people even say in  the older days only the rich and wealthy would care for these dragons as they were thought to be more inclined to listen when pampered and adored.

--- Story ---

The peacock dragon walked across the plains with his head held low, his walk was solem and slow. He then came across two childeren playing under a nearby tree who happened to notice him.

The childeren asked "how can such a beautiful creature be so down and sad" to which the dragon replied " none of my fellow peacock dragons think im good enough"

The kids told the dragon they doubted that was true and asked if he would do a performance for them. Reluctantly the dragon began to dance and strut his feathers in the bright sun. The chillderen cheered as he danced and his sad look slowly became a big smile.

After the childeren returned home he walked back with his head held high and confidence in his heart. He learned that there will always be someone out there who sees his beauty, all he has to do is continue with confidence
