Developer Note 04/17

Hello, Tamers who love Dragon Village Collection.

This is Director S.

It’s my first time greeting you through a Developer’s Note. Standing here today, I have gone through much contemplation and feel a profound sense of responsibility. As the person now in charge of leading and improving this game, I would like to sincerely apologize and make a promise for change.

Over time, I have carefully read each piece of feedback from you, our Tamers. Through it, I deeply reflected on what Dragon Village Collection means to you, and what we have been overlooking. We, the development team, take the recent issues — which caused disappointment and hurt — very seriously.

In particular, the repeated removal of content without prior notice has led to situations where the time, effort, and memories of our Tamers were not properly respected. While the intention behind this was to reduce excessive content accumulation, lower the barrier for new users, and restructure the game to better focus on its core fun, we lacked sufficient explanation and consideration throughout the process. I deeply apologize to everyone who felt a sense of loss because of this.

Moreover, by pushing for rapid updates too aggressively, we compromised the completeness of content and introduced functional bugs, as well as emotional dissonance in design.

To address these issues and show our commitment to change, we have appointed a new Director to lead the project.

The true essence of Dragon Village Collection lies in collecting and nurturing dragons and immersing oneself in its world. We want to return to designs that center not just on numbers and outcomes, but on why you collect dragons and how you form emotional bonds with them.

Moving forward, we will ensure that emotional values like affection, memories, collection, effort, and achievement are naturally embedded throughout the game. We will treat every dragon as a meaningful companion to our Tamers, cherishing and safeguarding that precious bond above all.

Additionally, we will continuously conduct surveys to build the game together with you. Your voices will be actively reflected in future updates and operational policies, and we will share the outcomes through more responsible communication.

During May, alongside the 2nd Anniversary Event, we plan to focus on reviewing existing systems and making organic improvements across the game's ecosystem.
We understand that many of you are most curious about the specific future plans and timelines. Although it is difficult to provide detailed answers immediately, as we are currently re-evaluating priorities and directions, we are preparing to share the schedules for June and beyond as soon as possible.

We fully recognize that past promises of change were not sufficiently kept, and trust has been shaken.
Therefore, this time, we will show our commitment through action, not words.

Currently, the main areas under review and restructuring include:

- Eggs of the Month and Adventure Dragons
- Portal system review and schedule adjustment
- Dream World content
- Guild content
- Colosseum

Dragon Village Collection is a game that has grown alongside its Tamers.
To rebuild a world where fun and immersion thrive, we will continue to walk forward sincerely, one step at a time, by your side.

Once again, I offer my deepest apologies and humbly ask you to stay with us on this new journey.

Dragon Village Collection Director S
