Developer’s Note 2026.02.03 – About the February Update

Hello, this is Director S of Dragon Village Collection.

As the first month of 2026 comes to an end, February has arrived, marking a meaningful seasonal transition and the beginning of a new chapter.

We have carefully read all the warm encouragement and valuable feedback you shared with us through the January update and the 1,000-day anniversary event. Thank you sincerely.

We always listen closely to the voices of our Tamers, and we never forget our promise to move forward together with you, even if it is just one steady step at a time.

Today, as an extension of that promise, we would like to give you a preview of the new journey and update plans prepared for the month of February.

We would like to share news about the Lucky Egg “Chiyou,” the first update of February.

This “Chiyou” update is scheduled to arrive in the first week of February, bringing it to our Tamers soon.

In truth, there were intense internal discussions regarding this schedule until the very end.

This is because we are introducing a new Lucky Egg only about one week after the sales period for “Jaryong,” which concluded in late January.

We are fully aware that consecutive collection-based content ahead of a major holiday period may feel burdensome and tiring for our Tamers.

However, as we focused on the “Lunar New Year Event” scheduled for mid-February and adjusted the schedule so that Tamers could fully enjoy the events and the community during the holiday period, we inevitably decided to introduce “Chiyou” a little earlier.

By introducing “Chiyou” ahead of schedule, we aim to make up for this with a rich variety of content in the upcoming Lunar New Year Event that all Tamers can enjoy together.

Even if the schedule feels somewhat tight, we would appreciate your understanding, as this decision was made with the goal of creating a more enjoyable holiday period.

In addition, alongside Chiyou, we will also be introducing a new Special Evolution Dragon, Angel Jr, as well as a new Infuse Evolution Dragon, the Pierrot Dragon.

To help reduce the burden of these consecutive updates, we plan to ease the acquisition difficulty for both Special Evolution and Infuse Evolution for one week following the update.

For one week after the update, we will run events that double the Essence acquisition for Special Evolution Angel Jr and double the Infuse success rate for the Infuse Evolution Pierrot Dragon.

Going forward, we will continue to prepare and consider ways to reduce stress, so that you can enjoy the process of collecting even more Dragons.

With that, we conclude this first introduction by showcasing the new Dragons being added in the first week’s update.

This is the second update of February, featuring the Lunar New Year Event.

This Lunar New Year, an unexpected situation has occurred in Utakan Square instead of the usual welcome guests. The mischievous Magpie Dragons have snatched away precious belongings treasured by the mysterious spirit beast, the Nine-Tailed Fox.

We ask our Tamers to explore every corner of the Square, catch the Magpie Dragons, and help recover the items the Nine-Tailed Fox has lost.

The main reward of this event is a brand-new Dragon, the Nine-Tailed Fox. As mysterious as its appearance suggests, this Dragon can become a reliable companion only through this event.

Through the event, we will be introducing both the Nine-Tailed Fox and Moon Pieces, and we ask for your continued interest.

After getting through what may have felt like a tightly packed first week, we sincerely hope that from the second week of February onward, all Tamers can fully enjoy the festive abundance in the Square.

Next, the final update of February is the Prism Gate – Tohou Continent theme.

After the Lunar New Year Event concludes, Dragons with even more diverse and colorful charms will be making their way to our Tamers.

We are preparing a special story of Rakion, who visits the mysterious land known as the Tohou Continent.

Following the improvements made in the previous Prism Gate – Halloween Festival Theme, we have once again applied differentiated ceiling requirements and added a ceiling for top-tier Dragons.

However, we have confirmed that the high ceiling requirements have resulted in a significant amount of time being required to rapidly grow Dragons and accumulate points.

This time, in order to alleviate these issues even slightly, we are preparing the Prism Pass system, which will help speed up Dragon growth—the process through which Prism Stones are obtained.

By clearing simple missions, you will be able to obtain rewards that were previously unavailable and secure Prism Stones more efficiently.

Not only for this Prism Gate, but also going forward, we will continue to develop and prepare improvements so that Tamers’ collection experiences can become more comfortable and enjoyable.

We are pleased to present the friends of the Tohou Continent to all our Tamers.

Upon arriving in the mysterious land of Cheongeum Kingdom, the Taoist felt a strange sense of unease. Though it was known as a paradise for Dragons, there was now no sign of vitality to be found.

"King of Cheongeum Kingdom. When the clear voice of His Majesty Rinlang was cut off, the harmony of the land was broken."

The King, who once maintained the land’s order by colliding his body to produce resonant, clear sounds, had been captured by a yokai known as Tengu.

After grasping the situation, the Taoist headed toward the royal palace.

The entrance to the palace was in ruins.

The Dragon that protected Cheongeum Kingdom lay overturned like a shipwreck struck by a storm, and the fortune-bringing cat crouched with its torn lucky pouch.

The Taoist entered the King’s royal kitchen. Instead of a sweet aroma, fear lingered in the air. The Dragons responsible for the King’s royal meals were hiding, trembling.

The Taoist calmly approached, picked up one piece of yakgwa they had made, and popped it into his mouth.

“Do not worry. I did not come to harm you.”

As a director, the moments that weigh heaviest on my heart are when I have to deliver news of “adjustments” or “restrictions” to our Tamer community.

However, more important than the cheers right in front of us is our belief that the ecosystem of Dragon Village Collection, which we build together, must be maintained in a healthy state.

If you could kindly understand that this February’s schedule is also the result of such careful consideration, we will repay you with even more transparent communication and meaningful content.

At the tail end of this cold winter, please take good care of your health, and we will see you again in March.

Thank you always.

S, Director of Dragon Village Collection
