Developer Note 2025.06.24 – Information Regarding the Dragon Shelter System

Hello, Tamer!

This is the Dragon Village Collection development team.

First of all, we sincerely apologize for the misunderstandings about the Dragon Shelter System that arose from the previous Developer Comment.

The Dragon Shelter is not a system whose primary purpose is optimization, but rather a system designed to support the long-term service of Dragon Village.

It does not impose a hard limit on the number of Dragons you can obtain; instead, it introduces guidelines that let you manage your collection by separating Dragons into Active Dragons and Shelter Dragons based on how frequently you interact with them.

- Active Dragons can take part in all activities, just as before.

- Shelter Dragons cannot perform most activities, but they are still counted as owned Dragons and can be viewed in the Shelter tab instead of the Dragon tab.

- You may freely move Dragons between Active and Shelter status at any time.

Thus, you may choose to move only the Dragons you use less often into the Shelter, while continuing to enjoy the rest of your Dragons as usual.

To address Tamers’ concerns, no Dragons you own will ever be moved to the Shelter automatically, and we will remove any limit on the number of Active Dragons so that you can always acquire new Dragons as before.

Because the Dragon Shelter is not mainly for optimization, please note that we are separately continuing gradual work on game optimization, heat reduction, and battery-usage improvements.

# What the Dragon Shelter Means

Some Tamers currently own more than 6,000 Dragons.

This growth is far faster than we expected, and we acknowledge that we underestimated your passion for Dragon Village Collection.

Because each Dragon in Dragon Village Collection is a unique entity, there is a physical limit even at numbers far smaller than you might imagine—akin to counting individual grains of rice to make sushi.

Therefore, to provide a stable service for the next 10–20 years (our hope), we concluded that the current approach would inevitably hit its limits.

The Dragon Shelter is our choice to support long-term service for Dragon Village, and we kindly ask for your understanding.

# Dragon Shelter Q&A

Below are answers to some of the questions many Tamers have asked since the Dragon Shelter System was revealed.

Q. Can Dragons in the Shelter perform Special Actions or participate in breeding?

A. For now, Dragons stored in the Shelter cannot use Special Actions or take part in breeding. We recognize how important these functions are and will review possible improvements while considering technical feasibility and stability.

Q. Are Dragons in the Shelter counted toward the Mania achievements?

A. Yes. Dragons kept in the Shelter are fully counted toward Mania collection requirements.

Q. Please add a mass Ascend feature.

A. Many Tamers have requested this, and we are preparing to include it in a future update.

We will continue to review the diverse feedback you provide and refine the system so you can use it more comfortably.

Please keep giving Dragon Village Collection your support!

*The system names introduced in the Developer Note (such as Dragon Shelter) are provisional development titles and may change in the actual update. Please keep this in mind.
